Saw Billy Joel three times, awesome every time. But the best was in a relatively small venue at PSU when he did a series of events where he took audience questions and talked and played some music along the way. Was awesome.

If they use the 🐪 model they will have a day at the end of the season where tailgating/partying is encourage — with a steep charge for a spot, of course.

Paying for parking wouldn’t affect us that much since it would almost certainly be included for season pass holders. It might force us back away from the lodge further. It would also almost certainly cause major backups getting into the lower lot unless they did a major reconfigure to have a long on property loop before reaching the pay gate. It would be the first signal to me that the days of tailgating and drinking are over soon. But what point is there in getting worked up about it now?

Yeah, he wasn’t really directing traffic as much as he was just pointing to the auxiliary lot and trying to get as many people as possible to turn in there. Since he was a Blue employee and not a cop (like they have had in the past) I’m pretty sure that’s all he was there to do.

Yeah, and I believe the legend of the Beltzville Buoy isn’t that it’s tidal based as much as the changes in barometric pressure that pass through the area a few days before a winter storm comes in cause a unique interaction with the fiberfill in the used diapers increasing their buoyancy, which makes the buoy pop.

just got done shoveling. Wasn’t too bad. Took a little under an hour with a couple 10ish minute breaks to do about 30x25 foot driveway and about 100 feet of sidewalk. I like to use a 2 shovel method, push it around with a curved plow blade looking shovel then attack it in smaller multiple piles with the bent handle snow thrower shovel. Seems to work well for up to 4-6 inches. Definitely annoying walking past the non-fictional snowblower on the way in and out of the garage tho

I think the $5 card charge is common most places that do them. I know it was added to both my trips to Steamboat and at Copper in the past few years.
