  1. There are two categories of people: those who have had Covid, and those who will have Covid.
  2. Agree. Just making a funny joke. The funny part may be debatable.
  3. Half price tix when you show your Blue pass or something. In other news, anticipatory weather related closures double at Blue. 🤣
  4. Burlington-Bristol bridge:
  5. Probably improved the shit out of Elkton
  6. You would be fine with pretty much the cheapest plan they have. If you want to stream in 4K, maybe get the second cheapest. 2-3 devices online and not significant upstream load, you don’t need much.
  7. With Fios? I’m not an expert on their service, but I thought you couldn’t buy your own router with them because of the fiber feed rather than coax. Even if it’s coax at the router, from their ONT at the point of entry, it doesn’t use the DOCSIS standard so you have to rent their equipment no matter what. Again, what I thought.
  8. Seen that kind of stuff numerous times over the years, when houses loose the neutral and their electric service uses our bond as a ground.
  9. Yeah, sadly that's pretty much par for the course with telecommunications companies, when the starting pay for a call rep is barely above par with a fast food worker. Follow the script no deviation -- never mind how many time's you have unplugged it and plugged it back in.
  10. I realize on a forum for a relatively expensive sport like skiing there's probably not much use for this, but everyone's situation is different so figured it was worth dropping a link to the Emergency Broadband Benefit website in case anyone qualifies for it: https://www.fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit I know at Comcast, a LOT of people qualify for our Internet Essentials program even with household income you would think would not qualify, and all of those people automatically qualify for the EBB.
  11. The snowmaking pond looks more like Michigan than a dong in that pic.
  12. Don’t be gross.
  13. Right on, thanks for the info. Want to show them the steepness of some of the hills, and Bubba wants to show his mom how steep Main St is since he skiied it on his last day this year.
  14. Kind of off topic, but has anyone gone up there and taken a scenic lift ride? I'm curious where you are/aren't allowed to walk around. Their site says you can take the lift back down or take the hike to Slopeside, but doesn't mention if you are allowed anywhere else. I'd like to take the boys up and walk up to the edge of a few of the trails like Razors and Main Street
  15. From a promotional email from Blue discussing the bike park. Wonder if there is really any installation happening on Paradise, or if that's tie-in work for the new lines on Coming Soon: A few additional items to note:-Paradise ski trail is now closed to bike traffic. Upper Empire must be used to access Lower Empire. There is snowmaking installation work on Paradise and riders need to stay clear. Riding on ski slopes not designated for bikes is never allowed at Blue Mountain.
  16. Well, it does say she’s AN owner. It doesn’t say she’s THE owner. “Barbara Green remains as an owner in Blue Mountain Resort LLC and continues as CEO of the resort.” Clear as mud.
  17. Household name in Scranton. Memories of shopping there as far back as I have memories. Suspect this is the Forty Fort location?
  18. I prefer to think of it as two more months without skiing.
  19. C’mon, that’s a bit overly dramatic and drastic. The Devil’s not THAT bad.
  20. Agreed. Would rather ride 7 with friends than 6 with strangers.
  21. I found the page for it on the customer facing website instead of the press release, where there is an electronic version of a marketing book for it. It has this about the room discount: Special room rates: Book 7 days in advance to lock in $159/night rate for standard king or queen suites OR receive up to 50% savings on the best available rate for an upgraded suite. If that $159 rate is good for weekends as well and in the middle of winter, than I could actually see a (relatively affluent) family getting value out of it. That's at least $150 less than a room would cost on a Friday or Saturday night. But I bet it doesn't include those types of days.
  22. SMDH. In the latest installment of "Camelback's gonna Camelback" I give to you the "Pocono Premier" membership. For the low, low cost of one thousand dollars a year, you can buy yourself 50 percent* off hotel stays and 30 percent* off lift tickets & other activities, as well as a generous discounted self-parking rate of $15, among other incredibly valuable amenities. Only $3000 for a three year membership, but you better act fast because that *screaming* deal only applies for the first 50 Founding members. (Let's be honest, we know that rate sold out in the first hour.) Then it's $4000 for the rest of the peasants. These people are going to be managing Blue. God help us. Enjoy every damn minute this season. *Up to 50/30 percent off. Actual discount may vary. Full text pasted below for anyone who wants to read it without visiting Camelback's website. https://www.camelbackresort.com/2021/07/pocono-premier-membership/ CAMELBACK RESORT LAUNCHES NEW EXCLUSIVE “POCONO PREMIER MEMBERSHIP” ON JULY 23 Jul 15, 2021 Benefits, Discounts and Perks Come with Resort Membership TANNERSVILLE, Penn. 23. Cause its an expensive week's vacation just for me. If I was single I'd take at least two trips every year. Hard to justify when we're a family of four and I'm the only one who benefits.
  24. Vibes to @phillycore's wallet.
