Gotta start thinking about where (if?) I'm gonna head out west this year. Probably should skip a year, but then on the other hand . . . I don't want to.

Noice! Went Father’s Day weekend. Don’t miss the craft soda fountain instead of the Pepsi

I’ve been more active on PASR than usual this off season, probably because I shitcanned social media so need something to do
-
They were probably just surprised you weren’t coming in the back door.

I bet Stifler is STILL pissed.

I feel like “Sliders” is a no-brainer. Shit markets itself.

They could be counting the soda machine outside the bathrooms in the valley too. I visited that thing at least half dozen times this year once I realized I could pay with my phone
-
Yeah, the one in the valley is now Valley Dogs and I think the one up top was completely removed.

Being liberal with what I would call a restaurant, up top they have Slopeside and the food counter at the outside bar, and the caf and Last Run Lounge upstairs so 4 up top. In the Valley they have the caf and the hot dog stand, plus the caf at the tubing hut. I would give them 3 down bottom. They probably count both the bar in the valley and the bar at the tubing hut, but I don’t think either sells much more than pretzels as far as food goes. If I’m wrong on those menus, 5 for the valley. So either 7 or 9. I’m probably missing stuff

13 restaurants is a stretch, lol

Doing better than me. I weeded once and didn’t plant anything. It’s an eyesore. If I was me neighbor I’d be pissed.

Yeah, they never want to the ONT back. It’s too much to expect a homeowner to remove and return, and rolling a truck is expensive. Plus they want it there to make it easier for people to switch back in the future.

We’ve re-deployed devices that were previously slated to be “end of life” a few times when newer devices become scarce, but it’s few and far between. But that’s only functional devices that aren’t far behind the latest equipment that can pass the “clean and screen” testing of the (somewhat) local supply chain, which I think is now all outsourced to a 3rd party anyway. Anything that’s truly broken is sent by our supply chain back to the manufacturers where I’m sure they probably refurb some of it in their overseas facilities. Somewhat interesting to me was when I learned a few years ago that there is a robust secondhand market for “obsolete” cable TV technology like modems and cable boxes. While walking the vendor floor of the Cable Expo I saw a couple of vendors with racks of well outdated, from our perspective, equipment. I chatted for a while with one of the booth reps and apparently they buy up the stuff in bulk from the big companies and sell it to smaller operators who can still make use of it

Yeah, “relaunch the website” would have been more accurate but not as snarky

That was one of my favorite waterpark attractions. There was rarely any line to speak of and the pool was 10 feet deep so the water was always super cold at the bottom

First step is probably renewing the domain name, lol

I’m gonna have a hollowed out area on the top of mine with a grate on it, so people who stop by can bring a few briquettes of the Kingsford and fire themselves up a burger or something. Just please pack out any ashes and bones. Don’t need to freak anyone out.

They won’t take the cable out. They’ll want to leave if there to make it easy for you to switch back in the future. It would have been VZ, at least from the pole to the house. Whether it was DSL or Fios, they both use a different drop cable to the house than we do at Comcast. If the modem was a rental, they’ll want it back. That’s they only thing they’ll want and charge you for if they don’t get, unless you were under an actual contract and we’re breaking it, then they’d hit you with an early termination fee. They’re not all that common though. Most ISP “contracts” are just price commitments

I wouldn’t be concerned about security, but reliability will depend on how T-Mobile cell service is at your location. Also, their home broadband customers’ traffic is prioritized at the lowest priority by their network, which could subject it to throttling if the cell site near your home sees high usage. Is their product all wifi in the home, or does the device have Ethernet ports? Personally, I would only use a cellular based internet service for my home if I had no other option, but I could be described as biased. As technology stands right now, if I didn’t work for a cable company, I’d go with: 1 - Fios if I could get it. 2 - Cable internet, purchasing my own modem and router. 3 - DSL 4 - Moving 5 - Cellular based internet 6 - Dialup 7 - Satellite internet like Hughes

Yes, ungroomed is less treacherous!

At the North Catasaqua carnival. Not a mask in sight. No exaggeration. Saw one dude with one around his neck, but that’s it
