In reality, we should probably look at this as a reversion to previous pass prices. It’s not so much that they are jacking their pass price up a ton as much as they gave us two years of greatly discounted passes. I think it comes down to the previous two Springs, Blue seems to have needed a cash influx NOW, and this year with a more successful winter, perhaps they don’t. In reality, this is right about what I expected, and probably about right for their size in the region. It’s fun to be outraged though, so I’ll continue to be.

Montage is enticing at $399. JF/BB is right out. I don’t mind Camelback, but if I’m going to drive that far for skiing every weekend would rather drive by for smaller crowds in Scranton.

My biggest gripe is a 40% increase and they still can’t groom as well as every other PA mountain and don’t open the lifts or implement line management fast enough. They’ve shown nothing this season to earn this.

I did as well. It was about $15 more for 5 nights than it would have been to use Parking Spot so to me it was a no brainer to be able to walk over the bridge and in the terminal. I am also an advocate of park, sleep, fly especially for ass-crack flights, and if paying for 7 days or more of parking it can be cheaper.

My biggest issue is the usability/searchability. If I’m having an issue with a particular piece of equipment or product we have when I am installing or troubleshooting it, I could go to Slack and search and find posts from others talking about the eq, product, service or even issue, regardless of what channel it was being discussed in, regardless of whether I had joined that channel. Then I could click on it and read what was being said, all without joining the channel. With Teams, I can search for something and it will show me messages in Teams I am already a part of. If I search for a Team about an eq/product/service it will show me Teams that are named using the exact word I searched for — no, wait, that would be slightly useful. It will show me Teams that are named STARTING with the exact word I searched for. Which is useless when most Teams start with things like NED-HQ-xxxx-xxxx. They actually cancelled (delayed) removing Slack access from those of us they haven’t killed off yet due to Covid, but they had already moved enough people that it’s not nearly as useful as it was.

I can’t agree with this more. I miss Slack.

Probably forces their hand on when to release them a bit too. Not that I think they would lose too many day tickets to pass sales at Camel, but FOMO is a hell of a motivator.

It turns out that’s a guy I work with. I think it’s his brother on the chair behind him, who he was supposed to be with, but he messed up and went out early because they were talking and when the Burma chair whipped by he pushed out and couldn’t get back. Said his mask had just fallen down and you sounded so mad he didn’t say anything else except to offer his contact info since you were so upset.
