Right, I was just poking Steeze because I had speculated that maybe someone had indicated that they thought they could have Lazy open for Thursday, and speculated that perhaps that led marketing/sales to release additional tix helping contribute to Thursday’s “shitshow” and his response was “Opening Lazy wouldn’t lead to more tickets, more lifts would.” Then 24(ish) hours later posted “Due to additional terrain Blue released 300 more tickets.”

I wonder if someone said “We can get Lazy open for Thursday” so they added more tickets, and then didn’t expand terrain.

The FCP in FCP slot 1 is bad. They wanted to move the uplink XFP into the open slot on the MIC in working FCP2, but I convinced them that moving the entire MIC to the open slot in that FCP was a better idea. We did that and they rewrote the config to get the MEG back up to the SUR, as well as all the 10-gig customers on the XFPs. Unfortunately dozens of customers are still down that are coming of the SFP card in MIC1 of FCP-1, but there was no other slot to move the MIC to. Juniper is RMA-ing one to my house to take to replace it, but UPS shut their warehouse down for the weather, so no ETA. It’s gonna be expensive.

Just got home after a pretty treacherous drive in a rear wheel drive van from the Service Electric headend atop the mountain in Bethelham. Bad day and time for a critical piece of equipment to fail. Putting in a guess of 19” flat. I know it’s too late to be official, but I’m fine with that since I don’t drink beer.

Yeah, I was thinking they would be smart to contract in some food trucks and really push it this year, but would rather see them figure something out and hang on to more of the money themselves. Love supporting the other local businesses too, but I would see food trucks as a way to relieve crowd/line pressure on their own cafe vs this year when they need to figure a way to actually increase the number of people who would use the cafe

Wouldn't even be that tough, if they don't want to design a front end for it just use grubhub. If it's good enough for Pasqually's pizza and Neighborhood Wings, why not Le Cafe Bleu?

Blue needs to figure out a way to get online ordering with either quick pickup or lot-side delivery for their eateries including the valley cafeteria. The ticket prices make it even more obvious they are going to be cash hurting this season, and it will be tough to make it up with high margin food given the circumstances. I’d order something many Saturdays for lot shenanigans just to support them, given the incredible deal I’ve got with my pass over new-reality ticket prices. But they would need to make it easier for me.
