Yeah, for sure if we don't come up tonight, I'll take them up tomorrow night. I just know they will not ski the conditions well tonight, lots of falls, be soaking wet from the wet snow, and if it's crowded on the slopes I'll be constantly worried about keeping an eye on them/trying to ski right behind them in order to keep them from getting creamed. And skiing like that destroys my legs, lol.

Debating if it's worth coming up for an evening sesh with the kids. I'll watch the cams later I guess and see how crowded it gets. I don't think the will handle the deep chop very well, and feel like it will be a lot of effort for very little payoff

Both mornings. Probably meat Sunday. Those who have been up this week, does it look like enough on Switch for them to surprise us with it tomorrow? Or are we back to waiting for the next cold snap?

I'm calling a second straight year without Sidewinder at Blue. No one should give them a pass on it this year either. They should have been making snow on it and Switchback for at least the last 48 hours, or at least the last three nights if they don't want to pay the daytime electricity rates as has been reported. I guess they aren't making enough money because it's been so dead . . .

This was all like 3-4 days after that big storm 3 years ago too. I was actually out at Copper while it was dumping here. But there was so much from that storm, and it stayed cold, that all the off trail areas were still well in play. But some of them had gotten skied so much they were super slick and packed down, like the T bar line.

Definitely be there Saturday and Sunday. Don't think it will be a Sausage Sunday though. Haven't done any prep at all.

Indeed. I think I did fall once on this, but did not take the skis off. This is the T-bar line. EDIT - full disclosure, skis were off when I fell. But you can see me clicking back in to finish the run in the video. Glad I ran this then -- can you get there with the new lift house tucked in tighter?

Today's conditions report says snowmaking on Yeti too. My kids will be stoked, lol

The one night I looked last week the lights were out everywhere but the Vista/Slopeside cams. I almost posted about Zee Lights being off and not being able to see what they are blowing on at night anymore, but then I figured someone would just comment "They always start turning them off after the first few weeks of the season" because I definitely know I've seen them off in the past. So who knows . . .

I would hope they're pushing at their capacity to make snow this week. What a waste if they're not.

I fully expected my kids to have to do a remote learning day today, but they actually gave them a traditional snow day. Pleasant surprise, since I certainly didn't feel like dealing with getting them through whatever they were supposed to do during the day while I was working after I got done with that.

Condition report list Falls as open today, so that's nice. Nice to be able to use it from Lazy to avoid the choke on Shuttle from now on

They were going to charge me last year the day I forgot my jacket that had my pass in it, but I elected to redeem one of my own buddy passes to use for myself instead. I can't remeber how much it was going to be, but $20 sounds right. 5 or 10 dollars and I would have just paid it instead of using a buddy. They didn't charge me on opening day this year when I forgot I had last seasons alien day tic from Camel in my glove and not my Blue pass. Maybe because it was opening day so would have been like I was picking it up for the first time? They also asked if I wanted to hang onto the new card when I went in the next visit to ask them to make my 40th card the active one again. And when she asked she said something like, "in case you lose it so you won't get charged for a replacement."
