  1. Sugar piles are no big deal. At least it's soft if you fall. Skiing through the sugar piles seems like it would be good practice for picking a line and dealing with chopped and bumped up terrain
  2. My boots are 65 flex and a size too big, sloppy doesn't begin to describe it. I make do until I find the right pair for me to move into. It's a poor craftsman that blames his tools though. I can cook a hell of a meal with a full range, smoker, full size grill, sous vide cooker, etc. But manage to put out some pretty decent food with a tiny tailgate grill in the lot. Salty, get out of your head and just enjoy skiing. It's supposed to be fun. Pops and I should be at Camel around opening tomorrow if you're gonna be around. You might not like skiing with us though. We usually ski more blues than blacks, don't care about how fast we get down the hill, and even stop halfway down a bunch to chat and let traffic clear. We have fun, tho
  3. I don't think they intend to do much skiing where the people are . . .
  4. Team PaSki&Ride.com with the come from behind victory in a tie breaker final round! Being a theme park geek paid off for the tiebreaker round of acronyms, no one else knew EPCOT.
  5. Only 4 tonight. This is terrible trivia. It's annoying to be consistently losing to a group of employees whose table has as many as 11 people around it over the course of the night and one of the chicks that runs the thing hanging out with them between rounds. its whatever tho. Maybe one week I'll win a lift ticket for a friend, and maybe one of us will win the free season pass at the end.
  6. This is not going well. In second place after round 1 with 4 pts to the employee's 5, but round 2 was brutal (was about football, I should have done better) and I think it was in their wheelhouse. Oh well, maybe we'll get 2nd again.
  7. Trivia Tuesday moved downstairs to Slopeside tonight. Wonder if they will honor mug club for upstairs?
  8. Barney's marked as closed on the report today. Wonder if they mowed them down?
  9. Man. You're doing it wrong.
  10. Wow. Wonder how it went down . . . Sunday just didn't feel right on the slopes to me. Pops and I quit after a half dozen runs, I told him I just felt weird and was done with the day. Between the snowboarder who tried to take 4 PASRs swimming, the dude walking over everyone's skis to cut across the line to get with his group, the hundred race tots on Burma, my annoyance at the race training on Widow, it was just a day I was ready to get off the snow. Not that any of that compares to this, just I felt strange and *then* this that night . . .
  11. Why do you care? Froniter doesn't fly there . . .
  12. 630-830. Should be there about on time, provided work doesn't hold me up.
  13. Planning on hitting Camelback this coming Sunday with my dad for the first day on our triple tickets for the year. Let me know if you'll be around.
  14. I'm glad I didn't ask her to put my sausage in her mouth.
  15. I think it was probably the bumps more than the pitch
  16. Just understand that even if someone pities you with a buddy pass or you get a deal on a weekend day, you won't be eligible to use the VIP lines, so won't have that experience to guage by. Those lines keep the liftlines tolerable MUCH longer on a busy day.
  17. LOL, no one gives a shit about your stats, but you can't say you skied White Lightning. There's no shame in taking them off if you need to in order to get down the hill safe. That being said, you gotta expect to take some ribbing for it.
  18. I'd get a pass to Camel if I were Salty. He can get their anytime pass for like $399 for one more year as a sub 30 year old and it's just as close to him as Blue. Plus he likes it there. It's a no brainer for him really. In his shoes i'd probably either switch to Blue or get no pass starting next year when I couldn't get the cheap one anymore.
  19. They should make ski boots with integrated crampons. Maybe coming out the sides, since you can't mess with the toe/heel. Could come in handy for protecting your line on those crowded runs too, and handy in the lift lines.
  20. LOL, where would you keep it normally so you can access it quickly during a fall? I haven't fallen on anything steep yet, but when I do (and I realize it's when) my plan is to try to get my feet pointed downhill then do whatever I can to arrest movement, like cut in heels, assuming skis are off. At least, that's what instinct tells me; probably should read up on what the proper technique is.
  21. Just wondering how you got down White Lightning with your poles in one hand and your skis in the other, if you didn't walk?
  22. Haters gonna hate. They really should be posting to tell people that they're glad that they want to take pics and share on social media, but for safety's sake to please not stand 5 wide and block 2/3's of the trail width.
  23. I saw that but I assumed you were just counting me and you twice.
  24. They didn't used to . . . .
