  1. Round 4 was 70s current events. Either 9 or 10 out of 10. Waiting on tallies. Hope we win this giftcard so I don't hafta pay for the drinks. Grilled cheese with tomato soup — sorry, bisque, at Last Run Lounge is legit.
  2. Round 3 was 70s music. Not my decade. 5 out of 10. Still fourth place but 5 behind
  3. Still here! Round 2 just finished, tallying scores. 70s movies. Not so good for us. 6 out of 10, 16 out of 20 so far. 4th out of 6, but only 2 behind.
  4. I'll be in Orlando next week, but plan to hit the 8 weeks after that Edit: they haven't announced the scores for round 1 but Team PASR is at least tied for the lead because we stone cold knew all 10 of those
  5. They made me pick a team name and I wasn't prepared. Pops and I holding I down for PASR. All 7 people here are gonna hear the plug. If we win and boost the rep of the site we may need to talk sponsorship. Maybe some branded pocket protectors.
  6. I like trivia enough to check it out. Most weeks I'll probably start and bail after an hour and ski if I'm getting my ass kicked, unless a group does form and it's fun anyway. It ends at 830 so I can still ski for an hour after. Tonight I probably won't ski after though, and next week I'll be in Orlando.
  7. So who's joining me for trivia night tomorrow night? I need some people to join me on the (un)official PASR team!
  8. I would probably buy a pass at Camelback every other year if I could get it for $399 like you did this year. I would just put off skiing there in the off years until they put the next years pass on sale. I usually buy a triple ticket a year there, at $43 per visit it would take 5 visits each year for me to save money on that pass. Might be tight to squeeze that many in, considering I would still have a Blue pass as well. Living less than 20 minutes from the mountain it doesn't make any sense not to have one. Moot point anyway, since I passed eligibility for that pass about 10 years, 364 days ago.
  9. Frost has way more glades than Blue. Blue only has the two marked glades, but they are really okay with you skiing wherever the hell you want, so if it dumps you can go off in the trees in a lot of places. Camelback also seems cool with off piste skiing, but seems to have a lot less places to do it.
  10. But are you still convinced that he's an expert level skier of yearly Vermont trip caliber in sheep's clothing?
  11. If you wear both at each mountain it's 4 days. Next level shit.
  12. Third parking row in the Valley, turn left. Grill might be out again tomorrow to start the year off right.
  13. I can't wait for the "What camera should I buy thread." I'll start: Nikon.
  14. You mean you don't wait on pins and needles for Salty's insanely long trip reports I mean, I don't mind that his reports are insanely long, I like long trip reports. Hell, I write insanely long trip reports. But his have too much fuckery in them. Trip reports should be at least mostly factual. Funny is fine, but save the fuckery for the lounge.
  15. I don't want to speak for everyone, but I think you've kind of reached the point where most people don't really care about what you post and are only (if that) looking for a spot to troll the troller.
  16. 177s would have just floated right down that due to the increased surface area.
  17. Just that it's the first Thursday of the month, and they're doing it three straight months with 70s, 80s, and 90s pricing respectively
  18. Usually if my lunch break is longer than an hour I count it as two days. Or if I go back out with a different set of skis, or a different jacket.
  19. I'll be there with at least one guy I work with who is taking advantage of the deal and borrowing one of my older sets of skis. Think Pops will be up as well
  20. It's pretty terrible when for $12 more a skier could just stop by Buckmans on the way to hill and get a ticket that's good for twice as long
  21. Yeah, $33 isn't tho, cheaper to get a regular priced 8 hour ticket than 2 of these for the person who wants to ski all day. I guess if you were shoehorned into a short session in the AM it might be alright . . .
  22. Will have $19 four hour passes the first Thursday in Feb as well., and $33 first Thursday in March which isn't really a great deal
  23. Might pop my head in the garage attic tomorrow afternoon and see if there is still a portable charcoal rig up there. Pretty sure there's not. I suppose the Weber Kettle is actually pretty portable . . .
  24. Ironically, it can be too cold to grill. When it's too cold, propane doesn't convert to a gas, or at least at a high enough pressure. Sunday's forecast high of 17 might be pushing it, but we'll give it a go. I don't think that I have a portable charcoal grill anymore, or I would go that route. Blue doesn't seem to have any rules against charcoal.
