That's rad, all the rain coming this weekend will be really grate for the snow making retention pond skimming ponds.

This is grate. I remember this one day back in 2017 when I skied Honeymoon 49 times out of my 49 runs, and we took a break and consumed sugar cookies and hot cocoa for sustenance. That was radical. My only regret is that @enjoralas was not there to ski with us. It's grate that Cliffhanger was better than anything at Blue, maybe I'll get a Camelback season pass again in 3025. Be sure to post a report at Vail, I went there a few weeks ago and skied some knee deep perder and drank some fancy wine at an expensive restaurant. I saw a McDonalds across the street from my hotel house if you want to save some johnny cash.

This is called the PA ski and ride forum, so since I ride bicycle the owner of this site will let me stay.

Not much, just taking a walk to clear my head.

Is skiing still a thing? WJW. My skis are waxed and put away in storage for the summer.

And don't forget @VTmark_take2

Dang, I can't believe I missed guitar and karaoke.

I haven't received confirmation yet but I'm expecting he'll send me an RSVP via telegram any day now

Thanks and yes stats are very important, I'm glad JohnnyLaw got an extra day for his stats. I appreciate the short runs at Camelback more because my legs get tired from those long runs at Blue Mountain.

I care, a lot. I take tremendous pride when my local hill station is clean and free of unsightly aluminum alcoholic beverage containers. It's a zen experience to be out in nature at the ski slope and to be one with nature. I take in the sights of the alpine snow covered trees, the winter birds, the vast sights from the high altitude. To have my vision laden with ghastly images of piles and piles of Budweiser, Heineken and Yoo-Hoo cans shatters the natural aesthetics of the Kittatinny Mountains.

I think this Sunday at the party we should all protest the trashy conditions at Blue Mountain the True mountain and dye our hairs pink and yell at the sky and maybe also hold paper signs demanding action.
-
Yesterday afternoon after skiing Blue Mountain (the True Mountain), I rode my bicycle on your roads and came across that one place near Delps Road where you always mentioned to @AtomicSkier and I about the old railway that used to run thru there. Those were grate times.
-
Actually, it wasn't. I typed all that on my cell phone.
-
I forgot to mention I also passed @indiggio and I forgot to yell "UNITED AIRLINES UI SUCKS!!!"
-
Yes I know who you mean. @RajeevGuptaSucheeta was likely watching the webcam as he is stuck in Gulmarg this year due to monsoon season and can't cook the donut in Tobyhanna yes yes

It was a cloudy and foggy day in mid March at the former Little Gap Mountain. As I ascended to the apex of the Challenge Express ski lift with one Grilled Steeze, excitement arose in every fiber of my being. It was spine tingling anticipation to ski the perder on Challenge. I disembarked the lift with Steeze near by and pointed my Elon skis to the east. I began to pole plant to gain acceleration as I approached the headwall of Challenge, one of the steepest slopes in all of Little Gap. As I breathed in the intoxicating aroma of the seemingly endless view of mountains on the horizon, which I knew was obstructed by the clouds which robbed our eyes of such a magnificent sight to behold, I closely examined the snow flakes on the surface. While being shortly after nine o'clock, a glimpse of unskied courdoroy caught my eye and I marveled at the perfectly parallel lines which were put down so pristinely by one of Blue's finest groomers. I contemplated thoughts of ingenious machines driven by snowmakers and how wonderous it is that they can turn a sloppy mushy slope into a carpet as smooth as marble. As Grilled Steeze and I approached the pinnacle, my speed began to increase. I pointed my skis to the left, then to the right, then to the left, then to the right, then to the left, then to the right, then to the left again. My speed built as a marveled at the miraculous conditions of cold snow on the slope even after surviving torrential downpours (good for the ponds) and a sweltering mid-March sun beaming down and gradually melting all the perder. I felt the soft granular ski snow beneath my Elons and it was an out of world experience. I witnessed Grilled Steeze also skiing on Castle skis down Challenge while enjoying some patchy spots of freshly groomed courdoroy on such a fine morning. I may even have caught a glimpse of various PASR celebrities ascending the chairlift while we descended the steep, steep slope like @NMSKI who is famous in all of NM. Our speed increased to a maximum of probably 20 or maybe even 21 mph as the windless nature of the day offered little to no resistance to diminish our respective velocities as we continued down and down the steep mountain on the Kittaninity Ridge. We finally approached the beginning of The Falls and saw some gapers and jeralds lollygagging and blocking our paths as usual, so we skirted around them and skied down The Falls in like five seconds. Then we whizzed down Homestretch and smiled and waved to the webcams to our thousands of fans watching at home and missing out on this glorious experience. Overall what a grate run at The Challenge slope at Little Gap Mountain, Pennsylvania.

Oh cwap I posted this on the wrong thread. @RootDKJ please use your mod powers and move this to the 3/15/25 trip report. Thank you

Today was rad. I got to ski at the True Mountain, actually did some runs with @GrilledSteezeSandwich, and I even think I caught a glimpse of Atomic Skier on the chairlifts. Definitely a top 20 day this season, maybe even top 19. Enyoralas cooked grate food and I even reunited with his cousin, aka Cuzzo. Afterwards I started biking and felt grate so ended up riding to Wind Gap and up Blue Mountain Drive. Unfortunately I didn't bring food, hydration or money because I initially intended to go out on a brief ride. By the time I hit Blue Mountain Drive I was very hungry. Fortunately I found a gel pack in my kit to provide sustenance to ascend the big mountain. Next time I'll have to pack some Captains Wafers in my bicycle bag.

Nah I'll go to Blue True. I might bring my bike as well, just call me SaltyBikeSki

@GrilledSteezeSandwich Where is the roll call thread for this weekend? I think the mods will have to give you a big fat dinger

@GrilledSteezeSandwich if you're going to this look for my taxidermied squirrels dressed up like all my favorite PASRs. Unfortunately I now have to separate the TP4 and J-Law squirrels.
