Yep, this tells me I made the right decision to pay the extra $50 to buy them from a reputable shop. And I know far less about mounting bindings than SaltyCat.

Very relevant, he's demoing graphine skis.

Congrats, hope the drive to Elk isn't too long for Indiggio.
-
Thanks. I was wondering why it's not marked a double black since it's the hardest trail there. I'll be careful.
-
Just got back also. It was a decent night. I was just about to go down Sasquatch for the first time when the lights went out. From F Lift I kept seeing a pretty good skier doing nice turns on the far right side of Extreme. Was that you by any chance?
-
Did 3 runs and the power went off for 15 seconds. Was moments away from skiing in the complete dark but hesitated just in time. Lifts are down But management is sure that the power generators will remain on for the rest of the night.

Anyone going to Bear Crick tonight since Blue is closed? Im debating going as long as 476 is moving.
-
I just death grip the lift when other people force the bar up without my permission. They'll fly off but ill stay on the lift just fine.

Yup. PASR is not a place for seriousness. Not saying you can't get solid advice advice on gear or advice on a specific mountain. You certainly can. Just expect a little fuckery sprinkled in. Ok Cool thanks. I'll resume writing only semi serious CB TRs on Saturday.

I know that feeling bro.

Oh wow, I've never flown business class. That's awesome. I'm always stuck in economy class with the plebs.

No thanks. That sounds terrible. I was stuck in the window seat for 8+ hours to Europe, and I was going stir crazy.

Jackson Hole stoke thread...2015-16!!!
saltyant replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in General Chat
That video is neat, someone should make a similar video for Blue. If I ever get to Jackson Hole, I'm not jumping off any cliffs like that. Nope. -
Not me. I'm a special snowflake.

Looks pretty stable. But still, I'll pass if there are 110 mph winds, even if my lift pass is non-refundable that day.
-
Is that company still in business? I don't understand how companies can treat people like cattle and expect to continue getting business.
-
That's so shady. You can't imagine how irate I would be after a long flight and having no rental car despite having made a reservation, so I don't blame the people for yelling. It's the worst when you're stuck between bad upper management policies and angry customers.
-
Thanks, but as far as commuters go I prefer the Embraer ERJ-145 because if you're lucky enough to get a seat on the left side of the fuselage, you don't have to sit by anyone which makes the flight sa weet. It's like being in first class for poor people.
-
Good point, thanks. I like to take my time getting down the mountain to savor the moments. I'm in no rush like those with long skis.
-
Oops. I couldn't tell since you didn't quote him.

Yeah, I think they just constantly make up excuses for when things aren't going well, like having insufficient personnel, insufficient snowmaking, etc.

Good to know. Last year CB's HSQs were packed and I demanded to know why the fixed-grips weren't running. They said "oh, it's too windy". But it wasn't too windy for the HSQ's? What a joke it was.
