  1. IDK the demo shop at CB was really cool. I still owe them a 4 pack of YooHoo for deicing my binders the other day.
  2. I think paying $25 to ski BB is way too much. I'll ski BB if someone pays me $25.
  3. Oh wow it's only a month away already?
  4. Nah, I'm just indecisive. Maybe I'll just float around like you and ski different resorts all year so I'm not "chained to a SP". But then again, I really love getting up at 6 am on a weekend morning and hitting the fresh corduroy before the masses arrive, and I'm sure as hell not paying $60+ each day to do it.
  5. I don't know why but I found it hilarious. Especially when they start saying "epic... gnarly... let's go shred the Marm (a green slope at Keystone)". I know you guys probably won't like it though because I have a really stupid sense of humor. Not sure why they found it necessary to fall 25 times, we got the point the first 3 times.
  6. Yep it seems that most people from the large cities in NY and NJ just go right to Camelback. JF/Blue/Elk seem like a real ski resorts and not a tourist trap like CB.
  7. I think every place was probably a ghost town today. I'd like to see how JF is on a regular Saturday/Sunday afternoon in January or February.
  8. Since we're posting videos, here's my favorite. How to be a gaper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3g12dq4mew Yes, I realize now that this video is where I got my now infamous "rad" tag from. https://youtu.be/s3g12dq4mew?t=1m1s
  9. I thought about it today since my friend got the Peak Pass. But it costs $1,000 and JF doesn't have a high-speed quad or night skiing. But I really enjoyed it today and the complete absence of crowds was very nice. JF reminds me a lot of Elk, even though it's a little bit smaller.
  10. Lol I actually saw that video in the past, because I remembered they ended up having a good time at the end while enjoying their hot cocoa.
  11. I watched this guy the other day, and I thought it helped somewhat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGn62uxnhjg
  12. I think i might look into these too. I was warm all day except my feet, and the cold doesnt normally bother me at all.
  13. Wouldnt hurt. I like to know specifically what I should do differently (i.e. lean forward more) rather than what I'm doing wrong (i.e. skidding instead of carving)
  14. It's a possibility. Every time I ski with someone better than me they start giving me lots of pointers, but being unbalanced hasn't been one of them yet.
  15. Well you can be the judge on Thursday if I'm worthy of an upgrade. I started learning over a little more when turning so I think that might qualify me.
  16. Lol and people say I troll...
  17. Thanks. The only place I've seen people ski glades at Camelback is at the top of Nile Mile. I'll have to look around next weekend because it sure as hell was fun and different.
  18. No, I think he saw that my skiing ability is low to mid intermediate today. Which is currently fine with me as I'm getting down every slope in the Poconos just fine.
  19. I don't think so. I did 3 consecutive days at Killington last year, and this year I'll do 3 days at Stowe and maybe 2 days at Killington after.
  20. Nope. He was skiing with his fiancée. I was the third wheel, but I didn't mind at all because it's nice to ski with someone every now and then since I'm solo 95% of the time.
  21. I started out with the wide glades, and then got more confident later in the day and upped the intensity. Very fun. Honestly, how do the glades at JF compare to Blue? I don't think I can ski at CB after this because there aren't any glades there.
  22. Lol I don't know. I thought I got the hang of carving finally, since I've noticed a tremendous improvement in my skiing over the last 4 days since buying the Volkls. But eaf said I was skidding... so I guess I wasn't carving. But that was at the end of the day, and I was pretty tired. Afterall I skied approximately 155 runs the last 4 days.
  23. My friend who I skied with today made it down Floyds several times, and it was only his fourth time skiing ever. Plus he started doing glades with me. I was very impressed.
  24. Exhibition had a partial mogul field. I haven't tried to master moguls just yet, because I don't have anywhere to practice them. Although I skied glades a lot for the first time and it was a blast!
  25. You had me laughing today when I asked how you liked my carving, and your response was "which part of run did you carve on, the top, middle, or bottom?"
