Update for all PASR Camelback skiiers - Guns are still firing as of 2:18 PM this afternoon. The resort is truly beginning to look like a winter wonderland, and it's only going to get better in 24 hours with freshies inbound. Temps are looking excellent for continuous snowmaking operations. Stoke levels are reaching all-time highs.

Nah, he witnessed my first chair AND first run of the season which earned me an epic high-five, thereby permanently exonerating my gaper status. East Gourmet in Bartonsville as usual. I haven't located any decent buffets anywhere else, so I'll have to backtrack a little to pursue freshies. Yes, I tip them for bringing my ice water and fortune cookie, but usually not too much since I have to do most of the work myself (i.e. getting up and filling my plates).

Idk, skiing at Camelback is probably too cool to be skiing on Mickey Mouse skis. I don't want the camel mascot to think I'm a jerry or something,

WNEP just stated the blizzard tomorrow will begin around 1 pm. I think I'll leave around 11 AM, stop for discounted Chinese buffet, and then proceed to pursue freshies and free refills. I think this plan will optimize my strategic positioning to ensure true powder skiing from 1-5 PM, and I'll still get to enjoy skiing under the lights on empty slopes.

He retired but made an appearance at the big John Oliver train unveiling a few months ago. I got to shake hands with him and asked him if he could bring us a few nor-easter's this year. As a bonus I was briefly featured on a live television broadcast, one of my proudest achievements.

NEPA weatherman and local celebrity.

I could call up Snedeker (on speed dial) and have him change it to 1-3" of rain...

I think actual powder is more fun because I can practice my uber turning + pole planting skillz and actually hold an edge. Plus, even though making 51 runs on the same two trails was the most insanely magnificently fun thing I've ever done in my life, I wouldn't want to wear them out.

I assumed the snow condition at 8:30 am would be hard pack/frozen over again, like last Saturday. Conditions were actually better in the afternoon once it softened up.

Doesn't look like I'll be able to. I tried booking a suite earlier but it says "A 2 Night Minimum may be required or there is no availability at the Lodge. Please modify your date selection or contact us directly at 855-515-1283."

The picnic tables are getting a nice coating. The snow will help cool off my hot cocoa on Saturday night.

Red alert! Guns are ablaze at CB! Come on Blue, let's get going! There is 1% less humidity in Tannersville so I think that might explain the difference.

Not yet. I always thought you just jab them in the snow as hard as you can, and then make your turns around them.
-
I'm a n00b so I don't know any better. Actually making turns now, so getting up there.

Dagnabbit, threadjackers these days!

Yep, that's why I'm avoiding Blue for now. Sorry but I just don't trust anyone on skis/boards, and am always paranoid someone's going to nail me and I'll end up in a wheelchair. Too many inexperienced people on Midway, too crappy of conditions, too long of lines on Vista, etc. Once some more terrain opens up soon, I'll come back to Blue and have a fantastic time.

Jar Jar was originally intended to be the main villain of Star Wars until George Lucas chickened out and shoehorned in Count Dooku in Episode 2. Best fan theory I've ever read. I hope Blue opens Lazy Mile soon.

No problem Grilled Cheese!!!

Nah I just enjoy posting. Note: I migrated the topic to the Camelback forum to avoid ending up in internet jail. Carry on discussions about Zee Lights at Blue.

Hoping for a good plot twist that changes something in the two previous trilogies. Sorry, GSS, we should take this to the Star Wars forum, don't want to threadjack =P

Ok. I always mention Blue in my posts here as to not stray off topic, however.
