  1. It's $399 ages 19-29, and $599 ages 30-64. I'm not sure if I'll qualify for next season, because technically I'll be 30 at the start of next season (birthday in May). What age bracket gets you the discounted price of $449 for Blue? What is the regular rate for adults?
  2. If I'm no longer eligible for the $200 season pass discount next year @ CB, since I turn 30, I'll strongly consider Blue next season. Got to try it out a few more times.
  3. Lol, I can't believe I fell for that. The live webcam view, below, is just sad.
  4. True. I've never had a Black Friday opening before, so I'm pretty excited. Where'd you hear about Camelback opening?
  5. Didn't hear that anywhere about Marjie. But I'll see if I can come up with $29 for Friday. I've become a bit spoiled with first tracks, so I'll be getting your sloppy seconds.
  6. Have fun at Blue. I'll be sitting at home on Black Friday with my Camelback Hero Pass nearby, while refreshing my browser every few minutes to see if they'll be opening any tubing hills by December.
  7. Looking forward to Stowe. I was going to go back to Killington, but I agree that life's too short to ski the same mountains all the time. I definitely plan on heading west after skiing a few more mountains in Vermont.
  8. Did I ski with you one night at Blue last year? I only went on Valentine's Day evening for the $14 special, but don't recall skiing with anyone. Were you there that night?
  9. Killington. Heading up to Stowe this year. Otherwise, I've been to CB, Shawnee, BB, Blue, Eagle Rock, Montage, Elk, and Roundtop.
  10. Thanks. I'm interested to see if I've maxed out my ability, or if I can continue to improve this season. I taught myself how to ski fairly well without ever taking a lesson. Still suck on moguls though =\
  11. Nice stats! I'm nowhere near you. This is actually only my third season, but I became addicted really fast. I skiied 37 days last season... no idea how many days in a row. Usually go out Saturday and maybe Sunday, and then 1 or 2 days during the week.
  12. Found an old data file... not quite your 57k or 70k Steeze but it's a start. https://www.strava.com/activities/1285434968
  13. I'm going to try for a 100 run day at CB this season. I get First Trax with my season pass, so that'll give me 10-15 extra runs this year. Just need to pick a day where something is going on in Jersey to keep all the Jersians/New Yawkahs from clogging up the high speeds during the afternoon. I'll pack some crackers for lunch, and bring my CamelBak to ensure continued hydration.
  14. Naw. My record is 62 runs in one day @ CB, and I was still disappointed at closing time that I couldn't get to 63.
  15. Does anyone know if all 39 tubing lanes will be open Friday?
  16. I need to go hardcore. I've pulled several open to closes at Camelback on Saturdays last season.
  17. I get out at 4:30 actually , so that gives me 4h 5min at Blue, with a total driving time of 2h 50 min. Not too bad of a trade off I guess.
  18. That's pretty crazy. I've always just hit up Spring Mountain because it's only 41 minutes; Bear Creek is 64 minutes, and Blue is 85 minutes. However, I would actually have 16 more minutes to ski at Blue than Spring Mountain, and the runs are probably a couple seconds longer. So I'll have to reconsider Blue as an option those 5 weeks. It's just rough getting back to the hotel around midnight after a long, rigorous day of work.
  19. Savagery Not hatin on the big Spring Mt. Im glad its there but its a little sad that I'll be skiing there for 5 weekdays while working in suburban Philly. BC is too far to drive.
  20. Forget BC. Spring Mountain is where the gnar is at. Two mountains chock full of trails, and you can even cross over to another mountain without needing a lift. The main slope might look like one big trail, but rest assured, there are 3 trails there. The piste map says so.
  21. Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll wait for Blue to open and skip out on BB. Waiting 10-15 minutes per 30 second run is no fun. Weather is looking good starting tonight for all mountains to begin/restart snowmaking operations. The lows for 11/26-11/28 are looking quite gnarly - upper teens/low 20's!
  22. Maybe I'm just being too picky about conditions... nothing compares to those pristine mornings of untracked, freshly made snow. Can't complain about mid-November snowmaking, regardless. I'm just impatient for the actual season to start.
  23. Wunderground, which I think uses the same data as The Weather Channel. http://www.intellicast.com/Local/Weather.aspx?location=USPA0698 That high of 49 on Tuesday is kind of a downer, but the lows all week starting this Sunday look pretty nice for some evening snowmaking. So I'll stay cautiously optimistic for some more openings within the next 2 weeks. I just hate skiing in mashed potatoes, so even if some places open I probably won't go unless the high temperatures are below 45 degrees. I was thinking about BB this Sunday, but I think it will be a slushy mess after all the rain tomorrow.
  24. Nope. I'm a 29 year old dude from Hazleton. "Salty Ant" is a username I made up in the very early 2000's for online forum trolling. The name actually originated from playing the online game Microsoft Ants while eating salty french fries, hence the name Salty Ant. I decided to resurrect the name 17 years later. I have absolutely no relation to Sally.
