  1. Fun morning with the family before the crowds. Skied until 930ish and then came back out for the new lift. Got to share a beer with @mbike-skifor the first ride đŸ»
  2. I don’t believe so since it took the footprint of the former ‘warming hut’ for ski school. I don’t frequent that part of the parking lot enough but I think it’s still the same.
  3. My favorite part is when BFG said the key to the weather is picking the right coat and then wears the same coat that he has everyday.
  4. They were slow in the beginning of the year but I don’t think an hour turnaround on a weekend is out of the question. If I remember right it’s like $60 hand wax and $40 machine? Don’t forget the season pass discount if you have it.
  5. Negative, but assuming they parked top and lapped Vista.
  6. Did the chat this weekend(#12 in the queue) which they deferred to a 48 hour response from the correct person. Was then notified “it’ll be in the next batch dispersed.” Still waiting. Pretty sure I said hi to @momskeeztoogoing to the lodge/bathroom at 5:10 but got denied. Still determined to say hi and ride together.
  7. Found that out last month too when I forgot the kid’s pass. Gave me a warning and said next one is $20. I asked if I could use the e-gift card from the returning season pass and they just laughed and had no clue what I was talking about. Not surprised since a bunch of them have not been issued.
  8. Bought a 5 pack of group lessons from school for the kid and we had the first one tonight. We’ve had private lessons previously and wanted her to get to socialize with other kids at the mountain. Well they had 5 boarders, 3 skiers, and 12 instructors when we showed so the kid had a private lesson đŸ€Š Instructors were super nice and said they’ve struggled a little bit this week. They lost all private lesson reservations from 1/6-1/20. Ouch. The usual slick spots and push piles but it’s fun. Lines vary from nonexistent to a 5 minute wait so far. Having a hydration break and headed back out to find @mbike-skisince I see his truck.
  9. Nice session with the family tonight. Snow was the best I’ve seen at night so far this year and crowds weren’t as bad as I expected with ski club season starting. Only saw 3 tour buses in the lot and the quad was only a chair or two wait. Six pack had more people but still only a couple minute wait. Temps we’re in the upper 30s so snow was in the softer side with some scrap spots. Most rocks I’ve seen on open trails in a while between Burma and Lazy. Saw some sparks and thought my base might have taken a shot but just some scratches. Coming Soon and Razors were both closed while we were there. Hoping for some cold temps and they can get the thin spots covered. Back at it tomorrow night.
  10. We'll be there.
  11. Did you ever get yours in the mail? I realized last week that @Boo Bearand the kid didn't receive $50 like I did in August. Reached out via chat on their website and again said they have not disbursed all the $50 credits from returning pass holders. Said they needed someone else to respond and could take 48 hours. A day later and confirmed Boo's is still owed but they didn't honor the kids since she was coming off the $50 kids pass and not the All Access pass. I thought we should still get the credit since her pass was all access, even if it was a kids, but thought they would say that.
  12. Definitely! TFTI
  13. Without snow it doesn't seem too impractical. We've seen them pick up trash before and looked like it took under 2 hours to clear a lift. I'm guessing with hard pack or ice it might be a different story.

  15. Seemed to be right around the same time đŸ€” Maybe they don't want people seeing snow pushed under the new lift for the grand opening.
  16. Buy it as early as possible. They throttle the price up as it gets closer to the date.
  17. Made it back at 6 with the fam for the first double dip of the year. Place was packed and it was pouring rain. Rain slowed after about 10 minutes and then there was a mass exodus of soaked people. 6 had a little line to start and quad was pretty much ski right on. Felt like student night since majority of the people were under 18. Push piles everywhere but the kid had a blast rolling over them and working on technique so it was a good time. Razors was closed until about 7 with a heavily bumped upper head wall and a snake from the racers cut in the middle. Fun rain night and glad we went. Was a little scared it be a wash when we got there.
  18. Got on the snow with @Boo Beararound 930. Shocked at the crowd after yesterday but I guess since they didn't do holiday rates, all the student passes were there. Probably left some money on the table but not having a holiday rate on a national holiday. Upper Main was my ROTD and was quite nice. Didn't get to TCS but sounds like it's getting thin. At one point the hill started filling with smoke and we thought it might be a brush fire nearby. Marty was at the top of the 6 and said the triple was smoking and had to be shut down. Not sure if the Coast Guard heli had anything to do with that but it did circle for a look at the mountain around the same time. Someone should have a photo of it to share. Fun people watching in the lot with the crowds before taking off. Heading back tonight with the kid, hoping for light crowds with the Penn State game on.
  19. Fun morning with soft snow. Speeds were throttled back due to visibility but light crowds made it manageable. Got my first Razor’s run of the year before they closed it for BMR. Nice to meet @Jimkovalalso. Ski everyone tomorrow.
  20. Was going to go yesterday afternoon until I checked and saw this same image.
  21. Booked Presidents Day weekend for Thursday at Magic and Saturday and Sunday at Greek Peak. Originally trying to get to Berkshire East at some point but realized it’s blacked out that weekend since I only have the base Indy. Killington on Friday with our passes that @Boo Bearwon at the Warren Miller movie. First time there so excited to check it out and hoping crowds are not too bad for a holiday since it’s a Friday. If anyone wants to split a place or ski together, the more the merrier.
  22. Arrived at 630 to find out I forgot my kids coat and pass. Luckily family lives near by and had a coat. Went in for another pass after my second arrival and was informed it is $20 for a replacement pass. She was feeling festive so she waived it but said she’ll make a note so I don’t get it again. I asked if you could use the $50 e-gift card for it and she laughed and said “probably not.” Not sure if she thought it was a joke or she didn’t actually know about the $50 season pass credit. On the snow at 7 with the post dinner and the quad line was past the gates. Middle of the runs were scraped and the sides were Baby Bash Suga Suga. Line got smaller each time down until it was only a couple people deep. Had fun bumping around on the sides of Lazy and Paradise with the little one until 815. @GrilledSteezeSandwichsince you asked. Chicken nugs with ketchup due to the time crunch. edit: someone dropped off the quad to get first tracks on Falls WTGAI
  23. It's like going to Vermont, without the drive. We end up there after President's Day thanks to a free pass from the Warren Miller Film when it is at NCC. Always a good time even with the slower lifts.
