I’ve been thinking about getting one but have always been skeptical that they actually work. I opened my pool a month ago and up until last week it was in the 60s. Didn’t stop my girls from jumping in. Sunday it was in the low 70s and felt good after doing yard work most of the day. Are they much trouble getting on and off? We’re in it just about every night after practice during the summer.

Florida certainly does win the award when it comes to batshit crazy but it’s hard to beat their fishing.

Thanks no Vail if that is how it actually plays out...

Excuse my ignorance but who/what is jaindl?

I love me some tarpon! One of my favorite fish to catch.

Yep I used to burn the midnight oil chasing fish when my girls were little but now they’re both playing travel softball and I help coach both teams. Bye bye free time March through November. All good pretty soon I won’t have this time with them and I still sneak out once in a while. Even got to ski on this trip in December

Used to fish those back bays a lot during the day running from bridge to bridge and in my yak. That of course was before kids! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Fishing the Delaware or did you head for the salt?

There is always Spring Mountain or maybe resurrect Belle.

I did look to see what Vail did with Okemo pass holders when the bought it last year and they did offer an upgrade option. https://www.epicpass.com/info/new-epic-resorts-faqs.aspx

Well based on the camelback rumors it does sound like the pass war is coming to PA.

Lol my interest used to perk up every time I saw Vail mentioned here. Being new to these parts I assumed you all were just pulling each other’s chains 50% of the time... that number has risen to 99.9% and wondering what it’s going to be like as we get further from ski season.[emoji3]

Is it April 1st again already? [emoji3]

Yep don’t let your age be a barrier. I’m in my late 40s and just came back to skiing at the end of last year after a 25 year break. I was a hack back in the day and just liked to go fast lol. Started this year at maybe a level just above beginner. Took a few private lessons with the goal of doing blues this year. The last few weeks I’ve been hitting blacks and some double blacks at Blue. Might not always be pretty on the steeper stuff or in not so favorable conditions but I’m ahead of where I wanted to be. Blue has a six week adult clinic if you can swing the time during the week. Someone mentioned skiing with better skiers and that definitely helps. I’m always looking to shadow random good skiers. Once you get past that wedge and start riding the skis it’s going to get a whole lot easier and less physically demanding.

Oh and got back to NJ in time for dinner. [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day. Got 27 runs in and conditions were great for most it. Spent most of the day lapping Lazy Mile, Switchback and Main Street. Hard to pick my favorite. Probably done for the season unless I can sneak away to VT in April for a day or two. Gonna be tough with my kids softball schedule ramping up

Place is empty today also. Was only planning on skiing till noon but already told my wife I won’t be home for dinner.

Had a good time up there yesterday with my daughters. We skied from 8 to 2 and pretty much stuck to lazy mile and sidewinder the entire time with a few runs down paradise. I kept peeking at challenger and Main Street but they weren’t up for it. I seem to really struggle with the heavy wet slop. Was clowning around with my daughters at one point heading down Tutts and caught one ski in it and it spun me completely around. Kids thought I did it on purpose... still not sure how I was able to recover lol. Hoping to squeeze in another trip or two.

I’m going to be there first thing tomorrow for a few hours with my daughters. We’ll be poking along on some blues and greens trying to get them to graduate from pizzas to french fries lol. -
She tapped out after 27 miles but dad squeezed another run or two in. [emoji3]

My daughter and I just got back. Skied from 830 to 430 and would have kept going if my legs would have let me! Great conditions all around. Wish I could head back tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

At the upper lodge they do but I’m not sure if it is always open. I don’t recall seeing anyone there on Friday. I lock my skis up on the racks but it doesn’t seem like many people do.

6’2” 250... Clydesdale [emoji3]I’m only solid intermediate though and not really pushing them yet. I’m sticking with them for now and if anything might look for more narrow waist carving ski to compliment them.

Got the 9s earlier this year and love them but wish I had picked up the 188s also. Have a pair of brahmas also but keep going back to the rustlers. Took a buddy to blue yesterday and conditions were good. I was planning on heading back up with my oldest daughter this morning but when I got home last night she had gone to a friends for a sleepover and my wife had a long honey do list for me. Sounds like I missed a good day!

Last time I travelled with my family and we all had bags I used Winner. It was great. Drove me over in my vehicle and unloaded my bags right at the terminal. When we returned we called them from the baggage claim and they brought my truck right over. No messing around with shuttles and I remember it not being anymore expensive.
