  1. That's awesome. A family friend has a pond that no one fishes on their property...I gotta start fishing there more. I did take my daughter there a month or so ago but didn't last long since it was cold that day.
  2. Yes Douglas, I wasn't being serious....
  3. Isn't that most of the people in this forum? I mean, this is posted in the Blue Mountain forum after all...
  4. I'm not really sure how the money is allocated to different banks, but the majority of the loans my wife processed were for small businesses like breweries, dental offices, etc. I know Wells Fargo is getting sued for prioritizing who got the loans based on the amounts. @GrilledSteezeSandwich, which bank was your loan through?
  5. I go into the office once a week, so not really much interaction with the public. There are probably 40 people in the office at a time recently (split between 2 floors) When I go in, I pretty much avoid everyone. They tried making me go in more often when this first started, but not much of a point since I can do pretty much everything from home anyway. I have to get my temperature taken before entering the building, but all of the doors are open so people don't have to touch any door handles (except the bathroom doors)...so someone could just as easily use one of the other doors to get around the temperature check.
  6. Yup. That was long before I knew those guys but I used to stop in there in my skater days.
  7. I need my entire driveway redone. Not looking forward to that bill. Probably wont be for a few years though,
  8. Gordon's Sports Supply near Marsh Creek is good. I haven't been there in forever, but I used to hang out with Chris and Thom Gordon. They're good guys and pretty knowledgeable with local fishing. https://www.gordonssportssupply.com/ Sport Fishing Outlet in Norristown is supposed to be good. Never been there, but I've heard they're good, and looks like they may be open for curbside pickup https://www.facebook.com/SFOtackleshop/
  9. Unfortunately a lot of it is being saved since we just had our hot water heater replaced a few weeks ago. I've been ordering take out occasionally and stuff from the fly shops I buy from just to support them a bit. I'll donate some to the United Way of Berks County and they can redistribute as needed.
  10. No porn in that 6 weeks? Or is that a given since it's a daily routine?
  11. I had my wife pick me up after my Schuylkill River trip at a park a bit north of Reading yesterday. The kayak launch/landing is a good bit away from the rest of the park, so not really any people there...but on the way out, I saw two large groups of people (15 or 20 each), hanging out, grilling, etc. Idiots. Looks like there were a bunch of issues with the PPP loans...larger businesses like chain restaurants and hotels supposedly ate up a lot of the funding, and Wells Fargo is getting sued for prioritizing loans based on what would get them the largest processing fees. Sounds like more of the loans will be processed this week, so I'm guessing my wife will be busy at work again
  12. Did like 8 miles on the schuylkill on the SUP...river was moving pretty fast. Didn't fish much but it was a fun paddle.
  13. Awesome! Hes doing better than me. I'm 0 for 4 chasing big smallmouth bass
  14. There's gotta be some bakeries or something in Lehigh valley that do bagels. I don't eat bagels often but we have a place with 2 locations near me, New York bagelry. They're pretty good.
  15. I have plenty of ink, so I'm not worried about it...paper I can take from work if I need it since I have to go in 1 day a week anyway. "work from home" supplies were pretty scarce when this first started, not sure how it is now. I was considering getting another monitor to replace my second one, which is pretty small and old. Trying to get one shipped at a reasonable price was about as difficult as finding toilet paper
  16. that's interesting, I'll have to check that out....I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, which is basically indestructible and waterproof. It fell off my car once doing 50mph and survived with only a scratch. But it's 3 years old and probably won't last much longer anyway.
  17. Printer ink may be an issue if people are working from home. I know I've been using a lot, and paper too Not sure it's necessary to run right out to the store and get ink though. I'm pretty sure places like Staples are still doing curbside pickup though, at least they were.
  18. I don't think Doug fits in a "little box" 😄 But I agree with both you and Doug. Most business have a lot of overhead that eats up the cash reserves really fast when there's no positive income coming in. Even businesses that are still open are incurring a lot of extra expenses with extra cleaning and safety supplies, etc. If this continues for a while, a lot of business won't make it.
  19. Yeah I need a bunch of lumber too to start on my daughter's playhouse/swingset thing. There's a smaller hardware store with good quality lumber near my parents...I may go there, pay for what I need, and have my dad pick it up with his truck
  20. I got my money today too... Lowe's here has been insanely crowded. Like a usual Saturday, it's going to be a nice day so we'll do some work outside....that kind of crowd every single day. I did an online order and picked it up so I didn't deal with any people other than the customer service desk. Some stuff you can't order online though for store pickup.
  21. I dropped by a local spot on a creek where they stock trout Sunday...never fished there before, but thought it might be cool to take my daughter if the spot wasn't too crazy. There was no less than 100 people there. I can't imagine what it would've looked like if it wasn't Easter, or on a day where they stocked the fish. This kinda shit is part of the reason I don't go fish for stocked trout, but I was pretty shocked to see how many people were out and so close together.
  22. My wife works for a bank doing underwriting stuff and processing stuff for small business loans. Shes processed almost 1000 loans since Wednesday. Shes working like 16 hour days but luckily she gets overtime so paycheck should be nice
  23. it's hard to say when they'll open...day cares aren't considered essential, and are germ factories, but they are pretty good about cleaning and disinfecting.
  24. I've been having my wife cut my hair for years, just using a set of those Wahl clippers (I think that's the brand). I don't think she wants me cutting her hair though
  25. If the day cares close even longer I'm gonna lose my shit Haha. Currently closed until at least May.
