yeah i haven't been able to get you that sofa so this is the next best thing.

originally i though about mounting it to a hitch but i don't know shit about that stuff and quickly found out about tongue weight and that it wouldn't work. so now i'm thinking aobut something similar to this. green line being square tube connected at 90deg angle with a fitting like in the image (though circular or something detachable) so i could slide it when i wanted to store it. red dots are the hooks in the bed to tie it down to. if everything worked, i could put down the tailgate, push it in and put the tailgate back up for when in motion. i know a very, very good welder who i'm going to ask for advice or suggestions that might work better. looks crazy but i can't think of any other method.

thanks for that tip. i figured if i did it the easy way, i'd take a wire brush on a drill to it, get off whatever paint i could with added focus on rusted spots, spray on whatever stops rust, prime and then paint. still gotta figure out how to fabricate something to attach it to the truck. thinking square tube connected to look like a lambda from the side. too much tongue weight for a hitch womp womp.
-
i'd just worry about whatever is under the paint to continue to rust in the elements. which is sort of weird since the chairs sit out in the weather anyway on a rope, so i dont get it. i couldn't care less about paint flaking off or it looking pristine. paging @JFskiDan - is there a safe, easy an option for long term if cosmetics aren't particularly an issue?

ever find out if there is lead paint on it? now that i'm seeing all the work it's going to take, i'm considering renting a sandblaster or hiring it out...

i spy a second chair...

lol you have a lot more ambition than me. mine has been a lawn ornament since dec.

when i was growing up, the ritas closest to me sold bernie's pretzels, others probably did too. way better than pretzel factory but deep delco so i don't think anyone here knows about them. if you're ever in the area (Aldan) stop for some. i promise you won't be disappointed.
-
very true. unrelated - get a burger from spinellis as soon as you can.
-
in the area, it's shoprite or weis, that's it. basically a quarter mile from one another. some people have serious loyalty to one or the other. personally i just go to SR because it's closer. though it is bigger and there is a much larger selection. biggest in the US (or at least it was when it was built, i think it still is). was also told (not sure if true, but looks like it) that the facade was inspired by cabela's design. still waiting on the damn pretzel factory to be done tho... we can't all have 10 wegmans within a stones throw.
-
are you one of those anti shoprite people.

tracks are fat. do you have a zero turn or a tractor? for some reason, i always thought you were some lawnmowing masochist who enjoyed the all of the walking.

as long as they dont touch the parking lot scene i couldn't care less. ... and, even though i doubt it, i'm quietly hoping the pass price increase has something to do with a blue/cmlbk combo ...
-
i still wonder how salty blue was when ATT put that huge fuckin tower smack in the backdrop of where the weddings take place i get a good laugh everytime i think about it
-
They already make a wknd out of it, except they stay in airbnbs. I'm not saying they wouldn't be utilized, but it would really bump up the events revenue.
-
i'm not sure how crowded a hotel would be during the ski season. if you're going to go somewhere overnight, there are way better options than blue. if their weddings/events are a big moneymaker, lodging would be huge since the nearest hotel isn't even remotely close.

wrote barley creek off when they went curbside only and didn't offer the fried cheese curds. taco place across the street (or something like that) is pretty good. can also pick up ski gear right next door if you're in the mood for new stuff.

prob got it. friend of mine got pfizer late jan and just picked it up (bad btw) a couple wks ago
