  1. 999 is right, very few people are involved in coaching for the money...at the end of the season you made less than minimum wage, dealt with many A-hole parents, administrators and kids that don't have the same work ethic that we had growing up. Yet many coaches come back year after year for the love of the sport.
  2. Thanks skimom, I was there years ago on a holiday weekend when CB was way to packed to enjoy by 10am. We arrived at Eaglerock and didn't wait in any lines and there was plenty of good snow, since the traffic on the slopes was minimal. Do you have a home there or land you are holding on to?
  3. Has anyone ever been to Eagle Rock in the western Poconos?
  4. Let's get some prize money up and set a date...I'll put $100 on ski999.
  5. Any chance they would rent that for a private party?
  6. Waves in OCNJ were a solid waste with plenty of chest high sets...monster shore break made the inside rough at high tide. They called everyone out of the water twice during high tide at the swimming beach next to where we were out, because guards were pulled to assist in rescues on adjacent blocks.
  7. Friends of mine living near Bozeman, MT had snow showers on the 4th of July.
  8. are you suggesting that the boa lacing systems don't hold up?
  9. It's more than just the length. I've ridden boards that were the same length, but because of a difference in width, cut and flex they really felt different. The ability to really carve and hold an edge and snap out of a turn change more with the stiffness. tell us what kind of riding your in to and we could recommend where to start.
  10. I've always liked north wave boots and just bought my 3rd pair last season. Glenn, Why do you ask about flow bindings? I used burton custom bindings but was given a new pair of flows this spring. Any recommendations as to which boots go best with flows?
  11. Glenn is rather witty and I can't wait to see his response.
  12. most times it's easier to take the thing off and walk. I think you spend more energy skating then walking.
  13. I just want them as an extra piece of equipment for the occasional visitor (male or female) who has never been on skis or a board and ends up holding most of the group up most of the day. I would think they would be easier than trying to ski or board for the first time. I would never ask for a refund if I do buy them, but thanks for the option.
  14. could people of different heights and weights use them or are they for smaller lighter people or taller heavier people?
  15. how much for the blades and are they size or gender specific?
  16. amazing
  17. I don't know, but your not doing it for the money...so if you are a volunteer instead you won't have to work every weekend and probably will enjoy it more.
  18. It's cheaper than college...
  19. most of them are good and you really have to be in the wrong or act with total disrespect to get in any real trouble.
  20. I've thought about buying an old RV or even a conversion van for the purpose of having an area large enough to break for lunch or get changed in. When I have a few kids of my own some day I'll probably do it.
  21. JF offers a season pass lot right up front by the main tickect window...
