I got first chair at Spring Mountain, What a joke that place is.

Invest in a second car (something with 4WD) so you can get out and ski when ever you want and not have to worry about a little snow on your street.

Several resorts in Michigan were once dumps. The vert is low (200-400 ft.), but the snowfall amounts in those lake effect regions is huge. Over 300 inches in some parts.
