  1. The one place down here opens next Saturday with a big sale on last years stuff and a swap. It's the unofficial start to winter.
  2. Are there any shops in the pokes or do any of the resorts have any kind of ski swaps or sales over Columbus Day Weekend?
  3. Maybe pre thanksgiving weekend...
  4. Yea ridge, I'm really looking forward to this season. Lodging is so cheap and having passes makes it totally worth it.
  5. I'm planning an early hunter trip if they open before BB. JFBB all of dec, Jan and February. Mount snow in April if we have a real winter and they stay open. I'd like to get 50ish days in this season.
  6. Why are u against doing residential? And I think you're wrong.
  7. You don't even need a website. Just a google thing. Then have your friends write fake reviews.
  8. Toast is right on. I never post stuff on social media about my work, because I fear getting that flood of calls.
  9. Damn straight GSS!
  10. I did and and still do it. It's not optimal but you make it work.
  11. How about a part time job?
  12. In my opinion you need a job while your business grows. It took me 5 years to get to a level where I could survive on the income from my business alone. Add a mortgage, wife and kids to the mix and it was probably year 10 that I could afford them on the income from my business alone.
  13. I'm planning on hunter in mid November.
  14. TP4 is right on with his wishcasting and I will see him at BB in November.
  15. You got to wishcast this season GSS!
  16. In under 3 months we will be back on the snow in PA!
  17. That would be a bonus! Since I have access to hunter and mount snow, I'd love to do a weekend up there if they opened before BB.
  18. I'll be at BB in November.
  19. JF has $20 slope side parking. Around 2000 it was free with a season pass.
  20. I have 4 guys that work for me every spring. They have their own trucks, trailers, equipment and insurance. It's a second job for all of them. I pay them 2/3 and keep 1/3. I have zero headaches doing it this way.
  21. Just stick with it. I started as a way to get out of working in a restaurant in the summer after I started teaching. By my 4th year it took off and turned into a real business. Every year after that got bigger and better.
