And just like that, we got canceled. NJ has done nothing for its teachers. Yet we’re going back in person 5 days a week on March 15th. Replacing 6 foot social distancing with 3 feet.

Should have met renewals in the middle. That was one of the reasons we left frost. There was a significant increase when they were bought by peak and then another significant increase when they were bought by Vail. Wasn’t worth it for 5 passes if we couldn’t get to VT or CO. It will be different when we retire and have the ability to travel for more than a weekend in the winter.

Seems like a fair price. They should have charged $649 for new pass holders and $599 for renewal passes. Make people feel better.

Last year was $499 for adults with a valid season pass from another mountain. Kids prices were the same.

On Wednesday’s we are all virtual. I have a few students that day trip every Wednesday to Blue. Tons of families are taking ski trips this year, since missing school isn’t as big of a deal as it used to be.

They’re pretty good about wearing masks. Maybe 5 out of 100 need to be reminded to pull them up over their nose.

And we’re going back 5 days in person. 3 feet is apparently the new safe social distance in schools.

Not at all. She has an intimidating presence to her. I could see how that could come off. At the races the parents hike up to the viewing area. The joke always was, all the moms look half dead by the time they make it up there and Cecily looks like it’s her wedding day.

First time we met was probably 7 years ago. We both had one kid in tow and arrived at the same open table on a crowded Saturday in the lodge. She looked at me and said, let’s share it. You know how slow 3 year olds eat, that lunch was close to an hour. After first name introductions I played it cool and we had nice conversation.

False I have spent multiple Saturdays with her during my JFBB days. The families we are up here with were and are involved with the ski team. She’s a nice normal person and married a normal guy, he’s a former teacher.

Did 730-1130 today. Headed out the main entrance to try and check out the new serenity townhouses that we’re interested in. The line to get in the main lot was backed up past Barley Creek. I guess half of those people bought tickets they had to use today.

My Durango RT lease is up this summer. The ST is nice, if they lease well I’ll get one of them instead of another Durango.

I have quads and a plow, but it never accumulates here. The once every 3 years it does all my neighbors bust out their snow removal equipment and try to do as many of our driveways as possible. This neighbor usually wins.

They’re limiting sales at probably 90 percent. When we leave at 1130, there’s a line of people at least 100 deep at the farthest lot down by the tubing area waiting to get on the bus to the main lodge area.

We stuck to the Stevenson today, lapping Nile, Cliffy and Pocono Raceway.

They had yellow jackets in line enforcing it today.

1 minute lines started forming at 930, 10 minutes at 1030, 20 minutes at 1130 when we left. Trails still empty, everyone is in line.
