  1. That’s crazy! I can’t believe some schools haven’t even attempted to open.
  2. The numbers shot up in September as soon as schools opened and continue to get higher. There has to be some correlation.
  3. Is the one one on 115 and 940 in carbon too or is that Monroe?
  4. Yes from 12/26-2/15, if it continues we will definitely be heading North, South or West until April 1st when my business fires up for the season.
  5. Thank you Barb!
  6. I’m getting unofficial reports that NJ will close all schools from before thanksgiving until after MLK weekend. If that’s the case we will live in the POKES this winter and get out on the hill every afternoon during the week, if the hills are open.
  7. We spent the winters of 2008-2013 there. When my girls started at 3 it was a great place to learn. They were not good at making snow and would not have the whole place open until MLK weekend. They only groomed on Thursday and then opened at noon on Friday and closed at 4 on Monday. I’m positive they are not open to the public now and I’m pretty sure they closed to the public in 2014.
  8. I grew up skiing at Split Rock, my family owned a place there from 1970-2002. GSS has extensive PA back country experience in the Hazelton area.
  9. The quad at JF won’t be operational next season.
  10. I’m comfortable in my classroom with fewer than 10 students if we are all wearing masks. I’m pretty sure there won’t be sports in September.
  11. Schools everywhere are planning to reopen with a hybrid system in place. Kids go 1-2 days and staff goes in 2-4 days. The other days will be virtual. My school is looking at having one group of students coming from 8-12 M/T and the other group coming from 8-12 R/F. Everyone out of the building at noon each day for a deep cleaning and nobody other than custodians in the building on Wednesday’s for an ever deeper cleaning. Hopefully we can make it to thanksgiving on that schedule and then go totally virtual until the new year.
  12. Oh they are, just not prematurely.
  13. From what I hear the NJEA and Murphy will kick the can one more time to mid May, then close for the year.
  14. Day one, March 16th we delivered to about 10 percent of our student body who needed devices. It was mostly younger students who didn’t need a laptop in 3rd grade. By middle school everyone needs one to get by. So weird to think I was going in houses and helping them get set up and sign paperwork. I couldn’t imagine doing that today.
  15. We’re available from 9-3. I usually have one staff, grade level or department meeting a day. Other than that I send the work out every morning on google classroom and then small group instruct for about an hour a day. All in all it’s about 3 hours a day. My wife teaches kindergarten and puts about 4 hours a day in. Plus making sure my own 3 kids are doing their work. With that we are at an advantage since we both work in the district that our girls go to. Teacher happy hours at my house for the last however many years allow my girls direct access to their teachers whenever they need it.
  16. Do you get chlorine from a pool store?
  17. OC just closed its beach and boardwalk.
  18. I wasn’t sure. I figure if landscapers are working so are power wash companies?
  19. I’ll be up there, my wife and I are working remotely until April 20th. We planned on a trip to N.H., but now that’s out. So a few days at CB is more likely.
  20. There’s no more Peak Pass.
  21. If it was just me I would. My girls are partial to CB probably because of the circus like atmosphere and proximity to the outlets.
  22. We might be taking this deal.
  23. New places at Blue?
  24. CB is closest, then Blue, then Montage. If I could score a slope side place at CB, that would be best.
