We will mostly be at jf. The house is closer to bb so we will only go there for shorter sessions. I like the parking and bar better at bb. Jf has the worst parking lot in the pokes. I'm the ahole from nj that rams his SUV in the woods to make a spot. Years ago season pass holders had reserved parking.

The vibe at BB is different than any other in the pokes. I will have to see what it's like when the whole place is open, but early and late season guys like me don't fit in.

I spent a lot of time in the Altoona area. Between blue knob and lake raystown there's tons of outdoor fun to be had.

I agree with Johnny. I never thought it was that great and will only go there if it's raining in lake harmony and snowing up there. Happens once every 5 years or so.

I was one of the oldest guys there on Saturday.

Yesterday was good till 1, then it was just too slow. They will probably close tomorrow and open back up on Thursday. Temps look good for snow making after tomorrow. If they pushed it maybe they could have 2 trails open for Saturday. I would go back up for that.

It's fun to do once a year. There's not many slides, a small wave pool, flo rider and a bar. I've heard the one near CB is better, but u need to be a guest of the hotel to use the park. Split rock is open to anyone.

I've only been to the indoor water park at split rock and all three times the water was to cold to be enjoyable. I keep my pool set at 95 and I don't charge the people who swim in it $40.

Beltsville pjs right off the exit. The ride sucks, but having a beer in the pokes on a Friday night at 7 is totally worth it. Eventually we will do it every weekend in the winter.

Me too. I wish it would be done for this season. My kids start to break down once we get off 476. This year I'm hitting pjs for dinner, rather than trying to make it to Bella Mia's. I wish there was also a solution for the mess on 95 and the southern part of 476 we always sit there for about a half hour on Friday nights.

I can't wait for that exit to open. It will knock 15 minutes off my trip.
