2013/14 SEASON SKI PASS SALE STARTS JULY 25th!
poconoceancity replied to KCSKI's topic in Montage Mountain
They still have them available for $350...If it wasn't so far from lake harmony I would grab them for my whole crew. -
Only a few hours left to get the best deal on season passes. I just dropped 2 grand on the family passes. Hopefully it's worth it and we have a great season.

For the same reason that people choose the crowded, expensive and dirty poconos to vacation.

Where did your boys go to school when you lived in stone harbor? What were your plans for high school? "nicest beach town" is relative. I know people love the shore but an entire life of extremely crowded summers and basically no services in winter gets old year after year. My kids are happy out here. It took a while but even the older one is coming around (although he will not admit it). As far as my friends, my good friends seemed to all live kind of far (Brigantine, Linwood, Absecon) and schedules never allowed us to get together very often. Most of the time we would meet in Margate and that whole scene was not for me (lots of fake nails and fendi bags). My summer neighbors were nice enough but out of touch with reality. I find the people out here to be much friendlier and down to earth. My friends out here are always up for anything. I can call up any of them and ask if they are up for a hike/bike ride/skiing on the weekend. It's not all about meeting friends at a bar because there is so much outside stuff to do instead. I sound like a broken record, I know, but this place is fantastic!

And she lived in one of the nicest beach towns on the east coast...it must be amazing for her and her boys out there.

With temps going below freezing every night for the next 3 weeks every hill should be able to stay open till easter.

I can't believe how cheap the passes are for kids...JFBB made me buy a season pass for my 2 year old. -
If you never skied before it probably will be tough. I find that most people can learn to get down the hill on skis very quickly, but most people never become good skiers. On the other hand it takes longer to get down the hill on a board, but after a couple seasons most people can carve on a board pretty well.

JFBB on weekends with little kids

They used to, but now it looks like 4 and under are $150 for the VIP pass. They don't have a price listed for the unlimited for 4 and under. -

They are up by 7. Getting them away from their toys, fed and dressed takes a couple hours. This season I wasn't motivated to get to Eagle Rock early . If we are at JF next year I'll be there at opening with or without them. -

Thanks for the tips Dan. The thought of having a season pass, but still having to wait in line to get a ticket is annoying. I'm debating getting the VIP, but not sure if it's worth it for the extra $500 for the family. I never knew about those other ticket windows. Last time I had a season pass to JFBB you didn't have to pay extra to skip the ticket window and they had a lot for season pass holders only. Another question. Does anyone know the cost of a season pass for a 3 year old. They don't mention it on their site, except for the VIP for $150 and the woman I spoke to on the phone couldn't give me an answer either. -

If you get there at opening it's good. My crew is lucky to be on the hill by 10. By 10 you are like a mile away because of the poor layout of the lot. I wish they would just get rid of all the trees in the lot and have one big wide open parking area like every other PA mountain. -
The season passes for next year at jfbb are on sale now. As most of you know we have been at Eagle Rock for the last 5 years. We love the uncrowded slopes and easy parking next to the lodge. It would be nice to only be 5 min. from BB and 10min. from JF. I know the parking at JF is a nightmare, but we are close enough to have the girls suited up at the house and drop them off with their stuff. I have not been there on a weekend in over 5 years. Is it crazy (dangerously) crowded on weekends or would it be safe for my girls 8, 6 and 3 next season?

It's the only way to survive parenthood...

The water park at Split Rock has a Bar. So the answer is yes.

Sounds Awesome...

BC?

Pouring here. If this was snow we would be buried.

The Split Rock Water park is good for little ones...kids 10 or over would be bored after an hour. There is a bar by the wave thing and it's entertaining watching people fall and lose their suits. The toll is no big deal. In Cape May County I can't go anywhere with out paying a toll.

in towamensing we got less 2 to in lake harmony they got more than 3...how do you not have a buck on you?
