I have over a foot down here and had to delay my departure by one day.

I'm heading up sunday afternoon for the week with my all female crew. Hopefully the roads will be open...

Why not leave it running all night?
-
I doubt he says that to the kids in his class.

The weather is always a little snowier on top of that plateau.

The system locks the kids skis in a wedge at the tips and the boots. They wear a harness with a leash to stear them and control speed and a grab handle on the back to help them on to the lift. Half way through the first season when she was 3 she didn't need the boot locks or the leash. We kept the tips locked until she was 4. Then she just wore the harness so I could grab her on more challenging trails and ski with her on my back. We also ski at Eagle Rock and I would recommend it to anyone with small children, it's never busy and you can always park within 100ft. from the lodges. Her First day she did one run. Now she does 20 and wants to stay out even if it's raining. -

My daughter Natalie started at 3 and liked it skiing 10 days that season. Last year at 4 she skiied 20 days and loved it. I would recommend the applerise ski system. I will be using it again this year with my other daughter Hilarie who turns 3 in December. -
My only ticket in the last 10 years was for going 78 in a 65 on 476S. Near the lehigh rest area. That same year I was stopped going 114 in a 65 in NJ and let go with a verbal warning.

20+ days between 12/26 and 2/1. Anything over that will be gravy.

Bear Creek is most guilty of this.

IMO 2 is too young...You won't be able to find her boots that are small enough. There are plenty of good deals on new skis that are 70cm. That's what my 3 year old started on. I had a 4 and 2 year old this season, and I never would have put the little one on skis. Next year we will be in the Pocs on her third Bday and she will hit the snow for the first time. Look in to the applerise ski system it's a must for little kids. If you need any advice, when your daughter is ready, pm me and I'll give you my number.

I did several day trips from OC in previous seasons. This season I don't have it in me. It really ruins my weekend. I can't go out Friday night, because I would have to get up at 4 on Saturday. Then on Sunday I'm tired from 6 hours of driving the day before and then it's back to work on Monday.

Give boarding a try. When I did ten years ago, it made going to JF and CB fun again. After 9 years of not skiing and having to put them back on so I could teach my daughter, skiing became fun again. Now I ski one day with the kids and board the next day and I look forward to doing both.

The first time my 3 year old lasted about an hour. If you want them to like it you can't keep them out there when they lose interest. Now at 4 we have spent 2 hours in the pouring rain and she loves it.

Eagle Rock or Alpine MT. if it's a weekend. I would never take my kids to Blue or CB when they are 3 or 4. When they are 5 and have 30 days on the hill I will take them to JFBB.

Near 2 ft., Backed into my neighbor in my driveway...sweet.

Over a foot and another foot is on the way.

If I'm off Monday I'll hit Blue in the AM.

Started in the OC at 5. We still have snow on the ground from thurs. and sat. roads are covered. We should be in the 2 ft range. Blizzardfest tomorrow in my hood. Beers, BBQs, Bonfires, sledding, towing the tubes behind the jeeps.
