I like the updates...when my girls are a little older were going to leave Eagle Rock for SNO of JF.

It's not bad during the week, but driving up for the day on a holiday weekend is brutal. Eagle Rock probably had great conditions today but it's 3 hours away. Once my 1 year old is 3 I'll rent the place up there till March 1st and have a longer winter.

I couldn't even get motivated for a day trip to the Pocs this weekend.

I've used racks since the early 90's on 5 different vehicles. I have never had a problem and drove 3 hours each way. Some years I think my boards never made it off the roof unless they were in use. Road grime is more of an issue on cars than higher sitting SUVs. When I had a Sub wagon, my skis would be covered with grime. Now with an Expedition it's not an issue.

It's no secret that the conditions are way better during the week. Most of us have jobs or school and can't get to the mountain during the week. You are very lucky to be retired and still young enough to board.

Carbon Cab?

You are probably correct, I looked into it years ago and remember it costing more and damaging the roof during installation. I thought drilling was required.

It's not worth it...in the past when I looked into a roof system on cars that had no rails I decided against it. Unless it's a beater that you dont mind screwing the roof up on.

Maybe it's because of where we live and what we do, it would look weird walking down the beach in boardshorts and a holster.

I had a hard time with the site and bagged it. They told me my email already existed with another customer. Kind of pissed because I had over a dozen items and spent over an hour putting it together.
