Years back when I was part owner in a small online boardshop JFBB was very generous towards us. Keep us updated on any type of season pass group discount. I think there are many who would drive a little further and deal with a little less vert, in exchange for great snow, lower crowds, longer season and a discount.

Big Boulder is in Lake Harmony...The lake itself is less than a mile away from BBs base and is probably the same elevation. Driving down to CB from Split Rock, I always noticed the increase in temps, sometimes as great as 8 degrees.

Pick which ever one is closer...if they are equal distances and you can get out and ride midweek I'd pick CB, If you are a weekend warrior stick to sno.

It depends where the runoff from the melting ice ends up...If it filters through soil then it's not a problem, if it ends up in a storm drain that runs to a creek, river, lake or ocean then it's a problem.

It's against EPA regulations to dump ice outside.

You guys are forgetting that you are in your 20s or younger, this dude is in his 60s, so he probably gets colder faster. He is also handicapped and can't drive himself home to change, so he has to come more prepared for the elements.
