I've been to places that advertise a 250ft. vertical drop like Spring Mt. and Split Rock...that is what BC is comparable to.

Every topo map shows BC as only having a 400 ft. Vertical Drop...yet they claim it has 510Ft.

Compared to most resorts in PA it is bad. They have done a good job of waking up the competition, in the end I think it will hurt BC.

Unless you spend the majority of your time in the park, drive further north to Blue.

At school our lot consists of 6 parking spots...It pisses me off that I have to park down the street, since they removed the reserved for the Superintendent sign. I think employees should park where they want. Come to think of it when I valet parked at the Taj Mahal during my college summer breaks we would have to park in an employee lot about a block away and pay $3 to do so. Or you could park on the AC expressway lots and take the bus in for free. People actually did that to save $3...idiots.

Shawnee opened the day after Thanksgiving in either 01 or 02, before that BB opened before thanksgiving in 97 or 98.

I know we have been through this before...but if you are early, you still park pretty close.

Shawnee has announced opening day as Sat. Dec. 2nd...That's the first time I can remember them not shooting for the day after Thanksgiving.

The 1st step would be to limit the pass to 3 mountains if the cost of the pass would be $600. And limit it to 4 mountains if the cost of the pass would be $800. This way each resort would receive $200 each. 3 mountain list:Blue, Elk & Sno 4 Mountain list: Blue, Elk, Sno & CB I think if one of them got on board the others would follow suit.

If you are going to put in 30+ days at JF spend the extra and it will be worth it, especially if you are not one of the first people at the mountain.

The boring part is sitting on the chair for the 10 minute ride to the top. I would still end up in the bar earlier, since I would get my usual 20 runs in much quicker. On a side note, I have not had a drink all week.
