I've been several times...we used to go on the holiday weekends, knowing that CB & Blue would be packed. It is about the size of BB, but with better snow conditions, because of less traffic. I've never waited in a line there. Next winter when my daughter is 2 that will be our home mountain. I can't see taking her anywhere else at that age. Unless Split Rock opens back up, but I doubt they will.

I think Lake Harmony has a pretty good nightlife...It's not downtownish, that's what I like about it. It's Poconoish. Are the 400 acres developable? What is the average price of an developable acre selling for in Lackawana County? I've seen developable acres sell for 10K in Carbon County. Five million is chump change for 400 acres, considering a 50x100ft lot on the bay in OC goes for over 2 million.

Why not go to BB instead...it's closer Jim Thorpe, I think that's where your place is?

I have some hot moms, most of them are mid 30's. Most are also divorced, too bad my wife teaches in the same district.

It's not about the weight, it's the extra wind drag created. It will cut your mileage by 5-10%. I noticed it after a couple of trips to the Poconos. You may not ever notice it since you live a lot closer.

From what I've heard the big vacation week is Xmas day to new years day. Other than that it's mostly weekend rentals. I've spent my Xmas break there many times.

They are trying to cut costs. From my observations over the last 5 years, BB and JF have become less crowded and CB and Blue seem to be busier. The whole lake Harmony area has become less busy over the last 10 years. Many of the homes on my street in Split Rock were never occupied in the winter and my place now in Towemensing Trails is the same.

Bad Move JFBB...they better get it together before it's time to get my daughter on the slopes. We were definitely going to get the family season passes once she is old enough. The last thing I am going to do is wait in line after buying a season pass.

Mountain Creek has the best DH trails from what I hear...I plan on hitting BC in late May/early June. Their trails are open and expanding.
