Mt first trip to Blue was in the mid 90's. On my way home I stopped at McDonalds on 145. I had no idea about the less than desireable population of people in the Allentown area. How did it turn into that?

BC closed last year with snow on the slopes. I wish one Mt. had the balls to stay open with even a couple trails into mid April.

Camelback is good, but I think for the extra drive time your better off just going to blue. Blues runs are slightly longer and the black trails have less run out.

I have school, we got less than 4 inches in the OC.

I arrived at CB at 8am and took my first run at about 8:15. I met Glenn at 8:30 and we took about a dozen runs mostly on the stevenson quad side of the mountain. The conditions on cliffy and the pharaoh were ungroomed and great light powder was covering them. I spent most of the day trying to hang with Glenn, he rips especially after working all night and comming straight to the mountain.

Great advice...he will thank you in 5 years when he's still paying for getting beat at nastar back in 2006.

Absolutely...I figure since I've been with my wife I have probably saved close to a million dollars that would have been spent on dumb girls at bars over the last 9 years.

I'm off the 17th for Presidents Day, I'm hitting Blue in the Afternoon to meet up with Jeff and Doug, if I get done early enough I could swing by CB on the way home for some night runs. Are you there on weekend mornings?

I'm there just about every Sat. and Sun. morning. I hang out on the side accessed by the Stevenson quad.

Altoona is the "Big City" near Blue Knob. That's where the night life would be.

Most shops will have president's weekend sales. You may be able to getter a better deal then, if not shortly after.

Blue might see late March, but not CB...Last year Elk stayed open the longest.

At CB this weekend I noticed PASR stickers on every Stevenson lift pole. Papa how did you manage that...you must have really long arms.

Going to see Phil is one of the best tailgating events in PA...I recommend it to anyone with in a couple of hour drive.
