make the drive about 2 hours shorter and you can charge what ever you want.
-
It's only a matter of time till the other pocono resorts catch up to and then blow by BC...they have such an advantage over them when it comes to terrain.
-
Sunday janauary 15th might be the most crowded day of the year at MC. It's MLK weekend.
-
We are off to the best start in years...the season is only going to get better.
-
Do what ever you want. Pretty much ski and have a good time. PASR days are very relaxed.
-
good point, I think I'll be there over MLK weekend.
-
Yes, It's a great place to go on the holiday weekends.
-
I was there today...didn't even get my board on and I hear "hey Pocono". So I took a couple of runs with Steeze and Ridge. Then they left for practice and I kept doing laps on nile and Raceway. The conditions were great. I won't be there tomorrow, I'm MT. biking in South Jersey with a small group of old guys.

I'll be there today...I'm leaving in 15 minutes.

Absolutely...If you decide to become a history teacher, major in both Secondary social studies which allows you to teach high school history (Grades 7-12) and Elementary education which allows you to teach anything K-6. High school history jobs are hard to find, it's much easier to find a high school math or science job. Most people who major in math or science go on to bigger and better things.

I have to wear a tie. The last two years I've been teaching 5th grade Social Studies, Reading and Math. It's not a bad job and the schedule is great. I really can't explain how good it feels to walk out of school on June 15th, knowing that I am off for 80 days. When you look at the big picture it's even better...NJ teachers work 180 days and are off 185 days. We also are allowed 10 sick days, 5 family sick days and 3 personal days per year. 13 of the days if not used carry over to the next year. I am one of the only teachers that don't complain about the salary...I mean come on, we work less than half a year. We can retire at 55 with full medical coverage for life and 60% of our final salary every year for life.

The only thing I have in common with most school teachers is that I collect a paycheck from the Board of education.

I'm sure they did more. Most people in the Days of Doe would F it and drive the extra 15 minutes to Blue. I remember riding the lift with a old woman at Blue who spent 10 years skiing at Doe because it was close and not realizing how much bigger and better Blue was. When she realized that she wasted 10 years of her 50's and 60's at Doe she was seriously saddened. Now that BC has this great park you have people driving past bigger mountains to ride at BC instead. My brother said it was packed last weekend. I see this as a bad thing for our BC PASR members. The place has a great park, but more and more people are realizing it and the place probably won't be able to accomadate the crowds.

They care about peoples safety...HA, How about the people that risked their lives getting to CB just to find out they were closed. And Volklfreeskier them being closed takes money out of your pocket, since you won't be working today. It's my home mountain and I think the physical features of the place are great. As far as most of the employees go I think their a bunch of jerk-offs. They have a chip on their shoulder and seem to be miserable. I guess I would be too if I made $2 an hour.

Pure Rain...not even a trace of snow left in OC.
-
Very cold, especially at 9PM when we realized the heat was not working.
-
2.5 hours with no traffic to the BB/JF area. I do it every weekend. Lateley I've been day tripping. So I'm up at 4AM on the road by 5 and at blue or CB by 7:30ish.

So anyone know what Slopes will be open this Friday?

There is a nice super WAWA at the intersection of Rt 940 and 115 in Blakeslee. -
I was putting my boots on at my car today before 8AM at CB and two guys were leaving and heading to Blue. They couldn't beleive that CB was charging full prices with less than half of the mountain open.
-
I was there from 8-11:30. I ran into Rob and did a couple laps. I can't wait until the other side of the mountain is open, with access from the other quad.

I've heard that most manufaturers won't let shops sell merchandise online. Isn't that part of the problem?
-
I was awake at 4am and on the road at 5am. I made it up rt. 50 w/ no problems, just heavy rain. I made it up rt. 49 with no problems, just heavy rain. I got on Rt. 55 and it started snowing very heavy, the road completely dissapeared. I kept going until 6am and was listening to the traffic reports that were talking about the nightmare on the blue route (476 North). I decided to turn back like a little sissy. I'll be up tomorrow at 4, on the road by 5 and at CB by 8.

Are you skipping school tomorrow?
