The last 2 ft snowfall we saw was in February of 03 over presidents weekend. CB closed and we skiied at blue. The back roads to blue were brutal and we had to take them because 476 was closed. Making matters worse my Land Rover got stuck and had to be pulled out by a Lexus, I felt like a real sissy.

I think you can hop a train in the city that goes up to Burlington, VT.

I've found that most people who work in the sales offices of PA mountains are not true snow lovers like us. It's usually a waste of time to try and get opening day info from any of them.

snow tubing is a waste of snow, but it has helped many PA mountains with the amount of revenue it has produced in the last 5-10 years.

I'm in if it's not snowing down here and I can shoot up, midweek at Elk is GREAT!

I've had the Burton customs for 5 seasons in a row...every season something breaks and is fixed by the guys in the repair shop at CB or ELK.

Never had an experience at the loft where I felt like the people were very helpful...Mike N Matts has the most helpful staff in the Poconos IMO.
