Ski's right after 5 days it's a crap shoot. The jet stream has the most to do with the temps and it is very hard to predict. There is currently tons of cold air up in Canada, if the jet would dip down about 500 miles we would be in great shape for an early start to 05/06 season.

Redbull and Vodka...make the average drinker a drunk A-hole. In a related story, both times I was at Eagle Rock redbull was there sposoring a big air competition and handing out free drinks at the lift.

Clear the roads...it gets you to the mountain quicker. I've spent 6 hours in the car trying to get to the Poconos during a storm. Totally worth it, the next day were some of the best conditions at CB.

The reason I go to the Poconos and not North Jersey is because the attitude of most people in that region sucks. I think PAsucks has made some better arguments lately, but he is demonstrating negative behavior and not seeing the point.

I think the biggest expense is time spent keeping up with everything.

Amazing how simple the build a great park concept seems. If any other mountain invested the time and money that BC has in their park they would probably see an immediate return.

That one long run looks like fun. I can't figure out the best way to get there from the BB area. Do you think it's closer than Elk?

He's probably closer than 5 hours away...I can get to Hunter in 4 1/2 hours from OC.

Speaking of water parks...What's the deal with the new indoor water park in the Poconos?

Spend the 40 bucks and go up the night before...5 hours each way with your first day on the snow in between is very tiring.

I think Rob has access to that type of equipment.

Some of us live to far away and others (thinksnow) have to work while all of you are out having fun

This time of year there are plenty of places to stay. I would start looking on the access road and head away from the mountain until you find a place that meets your criteria. I've stayed walking distance from the gondola for under $200 a night off season.
