My son made the USA junior F3j Rc glider team. 2024 Worlds are in Norway so we’ll be going for a couple weeks this coming summer. My Sailplane needs a ton of work so my fun budget is blown out of the water this year. Hoping February delivers so I can get in some Jim Thorpe bc runs .

Had some last month, a friend visited some relatives and bought some back. Very tasty but reminded me of Captain Krunch cereal.

When I went there were only 2 trails open but I had a blast. The scenery is amazing, it was a clear day and the visibility was probably 70 miles. The north rim of the Grand Canyon was visible 55 miles away.

It’s a psy op . So when parking everywhere is $15.00 you think you’re making out cause the premium is $30.00 🙃🫤

Paradise was 20’ + ~ wide . Coming soon was spicy , one run earlier and half an hour ago. I ventured into the ditch to find 1” of dust on ice. To busy for me I bailed at noon. Upper main should be nice tomorrow.

If they regrade Schuttle and drop it lower onto Barbs way they can get rid of the offending Boarder trap . I was joking last week they need a magic carpet in the meantime.

Speaking of ice, there’s a lot of water on the roads and it’s not far from freezing currently. Be careful out there tonight.

Haha thanks. The last three years have been nuts, I swear she’s got more lives than a cat. Heart attack, Covid, kidney stones, sepsis, mersa , six uti’s , pneumonia and covid again. Mentally still good but damn!

Well I was spending a lot of time with my mom ln the nursing home last week. The nursing home finally decided to test for covid and she was positive. I’m supposed to have some minor outpatient surgery Monday so I haven’t been in to see her for four days. She bounced back again but I may have to cancel. I haven’t had Covid yet but maybe I have the Flu, headed out for a test.

Late start and 55° at 1:30 . Took a while to find my friend Paul but skied Bumps till 3 . The flat light almost got me going from Midway to Main st . My next runs were better. Paul started busting on me about my new obnoxious Blue jacket which started a coughing fit and I decided to bail.Fun while it lasted, but I always think of ski Blue as therapy, my lungs feel better hopefully get rid of the sore throat. I’m dragging today and think I have the dreaded respiratory virus going around. I’ve dodged it for a while but now it hit this morning. The chills hit me a few miles from home. I tested negative this morning for Covid.

Temps looking better mid week. Any word if they will be opening ? Hopefully the rain stays south. Wednesday maybe a little Clipper coming through?
