Yeah it’s pretty disgusting, for a radius of 30’ around the bin there’s barely any ground visible . Since Blue doesn’t care I’m thinking about bringing my garbage from home, I can save a quarter’s worth of my annual garbage bill🤪 Kidding aside who’s ever in charge is probably a snowflake and is concerned with potential conflicts with entitled “guests “ My friend has a saying “Do something, even if it’s wrong but inaction is not an option “

Nice morning, a bit colder than yesterday. I met up with my cousin for third or maybe fourth chair on the quad. Coming soon was nice firm cord . Second run coming soon again but I tried out a new gadget I bought for work. A FLIR 1 app camera and lens attachment for my iPhone. Pretty cool just for the abstract art value! We hit switch, razors and challenge after cookies came out. The bumps softened up around 10:30 and the bumpers showed up. I instigated a new ditch run, between razors and challenge , they didn’t app 20250314T091804.mp4 reciate it but it was fun getting a little air coming back up onto the trail. 9-12

Nice morning, got there a few minutes late for opening bell. When I got off the main st chair Oz looked at me and said Switch, good enough. A little air off the first drop and felt like being on rails, 5th gear all the way down,I should have gone back . Switch was rotd. Main was ok , sidewinder, razors, challenge , chute , nightmare and made a couple runs with @GrilledSteezeSandwich … You wouldn’t know It was his first day off IR.

Started my morning sitting at the dining room table and heard a crash and the power went out $&@“!!? Gassed up the generator and left, usually get 6-7 hours Got to Blue with gale force winds. Only recognized Oz in the Quad line. First chair , Razors was surprisingly nice after making it past the headwind. I have to remember how fast he skis I got a little close halfway down. Coming soon was a dream with the refresh. Repeat but bump run . New snow was nicely bonded. Main st bumps were nice as well and softened up later. Razors got scalped by the wind but fortunately you could tell where the better snow was and the shiny cord ended. Better than expected! Left 11:45 ish after trying to put some cash on next year’s pass, had to use CC . I decided to go full access next year.

Did a late afternoon drive by. TCS bumps got a refresh. I had a nice rhythm going then boilerplate in some spots. Main st was ok but lower main in the flat light was bizarre, almost like grinding a rail . Razors looked good but sucked, avoided the planet of the apes scarecrows on the big whale. The quad had a big white worm just after the loading area, the snow from peoples skis has fallen off forming a symmetrical hump. Guns were still going even though it was pretty warm.

Got stuck behind every truck in the valley and ended up a few minutes late. Rode the quad up with someone who said they seeded bumps on coming soon so I had to investigate. They were pretty solid but the rest of the trail was ok. Went down nightmare a few times and it was okay. Over to main st and lapped Barneys as it was softening up nicely. One run on challenge , holy crap! was my first thought looking at the giant cookies but after smacking a few they turned out to be pretty soft. Back to Barneys but enjoyed the lower main gun run the most. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Tomorrow morning

Trying it without the angle iron. Moving it every 20 minutes and adding a log .

Basic oil tank : Cut vertical vertical slot with sawsall after cutting a hole with grinder ( diamond blade) fastened two hinges with self drilling screws , cut remaining opening out. The angle iron I just laid on the ground and lifted the tank with a shovel to get the piece underneath . Flue opening: cut a circle leaving 4 tabs that I bent upwards and fastened 6” 26 gage flue pipe with self drilling screws. Craigslist used oil tank that the seller delivered for $200.00 hinges and a few handles $24.00 Wish I would’ve done this a month ago!

Amazon truck almost slid into my Jeep the other night. Started the project at 10:30 and could see my driveway by 12:30. I’ve got lots of tweaks in mind. I melted a hole at the bottom of the driveway and pushed it to the top. Once the fire was established I had a small stream running. It not only melts the ice directly below but 18” around as well. I need to get some cast iron fireplace hearth pieces to keep the wood off the bottom. Also more oxygen to the back and a bigger flue maybe a fan too. Not ready for Pizza just yet, too much oil residue lol. I figured if it didn’t work I’d have a deluxe burn barrel. I had a couple pieces of angle iron underneath to keep it up off the ice. Yes Salty I used my ATV to push it around.
