I think it makes a difference on steeper terrain, yesterday I watched a boarder sit on his but and scraped the whole way down the chute. Years ago I recall naturally formed moguls being tighter. I used to associate boarders with a disrespectful attitude but yesterday I watched a boarder get of the lift a chug a beverage. I sort of watched him expecting him to chuck the can . He went over to the garbage can and threw it from a distance and missed. Ok he’s going to take off? Nope he took off his board walked into the woods and picked it up! I complemented him and told him he was a decent human being, he laughed. So I guess they’re not all bad🤪

Actually there is but water softener salt works too. I can use it in certain areas but other places turn into a muddy mess.

You bet! At least I can plow that shit off my driveway. I’ve been using chains to get in and out the last three days.

I was next to Oz and he tested the gate then it was stampede time. I must have made 5 “last runs “ then hooked up with the bump crew and made a few more last runs. Better than expected morning, bailed 11 ish. I did a couple behind the guns lower main st . A little to far down and off a jump that sent me backseat , luckily nobody was uphill as I cut across the slope. Falls cookies were casting shadows lol. Everything else was really nice and felt like being on rails.

I was out out at 7 and cleared my wife’s car off with the leaf blower got a decent 2 inches as soon as I shut the leaf blower off, I lost footing and went down on my chest. After plowing, I threw the chains in my van and walking through my backyard my feet went out then I went down on my back, lots of ice lurking beneath . I managed to get out on the first try and was debating about going skiing or going to work, but the steering wheel wouldn’t turn in the direction of work so I ended up at blue a little bit disappointed at the little snow that had fallen. Got there late 10 AM And skied to 11 things were much better than I expected , fast cream cheese , Main Street was still in good shape so I hung there and skied sleepy Hollow Glade, a few times even though it was a bit scratchy.

Sleet rain and a bizarre chemical smell being reported by a bunch of people in my area. Electrical odor?

Did a drive by on the way to Mertztown. The pond was slightly higher, the outer parking lots were filled and everything looked open. I haven’t skied there this year so no conditions report.

Noisy day, lots of scraping and scratching but surprisingly edgeable . Shiny snow in between with some carnivorous traps set. Lower main behind the guns was ok while the sun was out. Barneys lured some unsuspecting newbs in for a couple yard sales. I made three turns and bailed. Lots of people walking down. I sampled the ditch entrance with a pole plant, no bueno! Challenge had really nice snow on skiers right but lurking between razors was a gully that when your slough went in passed you. The light was a little flat in places. I could see the cat tracks coming through on the chute and midway before I bailed around 3:30. Not too bad considering. A bit better than expected IMG_8511.mov

Everything is awesome: Nice morning, 26° arrived 8:45 ,light a bit flat but otherwise nice except for the weird wind phenomenon. Half way up the quad there’s a strong wind gradient 10-15 ish from lower down calm conditions. It ended before the summit which was pretty calm. It remained the hour plus that I was there. I figured the ditch would be nice and ungroomed, and it was the rest of the trail was very nice as well. Main St chair was Fubar and the challenge six was not running either. It was a maintenance issue up top and there was a Patrol are in an employee stuck on the lift for an hour and a half. Of course it was spinning and they were loading it at 10:30 when I left . Most of the morning there was a little bit of a line on the quad, and it stopped quite a few times, due to some newbies. Main st , Nightmare, Chute , Glades pretty much everything was good.

A couple warm days, some rain and freezing rain with the next few systems. Possible snow storm 11th-14th with the overall trend colder into March.
