  1. Anxious arrival around 9 , battery light came on while coming up Blue Mountain drive. Ski first deal with it later. Lots of grooming activity on Razors, probably 3-4’ base . First run on Nightmare… so so , Barneys next…🤮Lower main had some cookies.Over to coming soon. Skiers right side country new manmade was a bit scratchy lowered my ditch expectations. Once I got there it was pure velvet and went most of the way down. Repeated a bunch and left at 10:30 . Nursed my vehicle to a garage.

  2. Yesterday they were blowing snow on the tubing hill and next to the lodge???
  3. I was there too 8:30-12:30 . Pretty chilly 12° with 30 mph gusts and snow squalls. 10/10 conditions the Moguls were awesome ! Sorry I missed you.
  4. I have Radicals as well, two things I don’t like is getting the toe pins lined up while stepping in. I thought about using a sharpie and making a vertical line/ guide to help see where the female fitting is on the boot. The other issue is snow getting compacted under the toe pice springs and not allowing the toe pins to engage fully. I carry a small screwdriver to keep it clear. But overall I haven’t had any release issues and like the weight difference between my old Marker Dukes.
  5. Fun hour before work. Wind blown sasturgi over shiny cord up top. Challenge was nice top of sidewinder was gale force. Main st glade was other worldly . Nightmare seemed to be the best snow on the mountain.
  6. You can ski the Mount Lemmon granite moguls year round. I’m rooting for natural snow so I can do some BC local. It’s been 11 years since my niece and I did Bear mountain by Jim Thorpe. February 2014 was fantastic. Lately March has been the only chance and the sun makes quick work of what we do get.
  7. Hopefully a Plattekill powder day. Haven’t decided yet but hopefully Arizona or southwest somewhere before their season ends.
  8. I hope January pans out because the long term has February turning to crap.
  9. Yeah, It was a total cluster. I left at 11 and the only way down to the bottom was Homestretch. It was a sand trap with boilerplate in spots. From 9 to 10 it was great. The conditions were pretty good.
  10. Some people aren’t happy unless they’re complaining about something. That’s the best part of the trail when there’s no bumps anywhere. I know what you mean about skiing the soft parts of the bumps. It takes a run or two to re calibrate my brain.
  11. Elk lets Tunchannock bump up and periodically turns the guns on. Kinda weird styrofoam feel afterwards.
  12. Not a big fan of seeded bumps but I do like bumps. The seeded bumps tend to get rutted and icy . Timing is everything. I would prefer natural bumps but they don’t seem to develop like they used to before snowboard s came out.
  13. Would have been a good day for this brew. Good stuff!
  14. 6-8 th Two chances ( possibly a big one) if all the parts time right. Looks really cold and dry till the end of the month and especially if there’s snow on the ground.

    Boot Fitters

Fortunately I haven’t had to punch my boots but I was thinking an inflatable pipe test ball and heat gun would work. They make short extension hoses . A 2” or 3” ball would work.
  16. Possible snow 6-8th with the cold coming back hopefully all snow.
  17. Arrived at 8:51 Driving was a bit more sketchy than I anticipated. Temps in mid 20’s . Dress and dash. There was a line on the Challenge express so I headed to the quad . Well the quad was delayed so back to Challenge. I wanted to hit Razors and it didn’t disappoint. I hit the quad hoping for some quick runs on razors but it stopped 3 times. I watched Razors get carved up so I hit TCS and it was barely touched. As I got to the steep section I set my edges harder and could feel some cookies. I hit the side country up top and noticed the ditch was looking good just after the top section. It was really nice and I just hung there for the rest of my short time I had today. Bailed at 10:15 Shout out to the kid with the motorcycle helmet and the Rossi’s older than mine.He did a great job ripping the ditch. Also Santa was there and he was on his game!
  18. I call mornings like this Air Hockey days. Groomed with an inch or two on top . 5 th Gear! Going to be sweet!
  19. Drive by photo . They’ll be sucking fish soon out of the main pond. The little pond by the parking lot looks good , not sure about the lower one Overall they look pretty well covered.
  20. The chair 2.0 . Much faster than last year’s 😜
  21. Still good for January!
