  1. So you think the 161 will be fine? I have a NS Evo for the park and love it, there are durable, nohting wrong with the base after a year of beating it sown in BC's park. They are also made in the USA which is a plus and come with a 3 year warranty. I was looking at a couple other boards though, Ride Prophet 163 and Atomic Alibi 163 for my freeride board.
  2. I want to get a new all mountain board, probably a never summer SL 158 and a new freeride board which will most likely be a neversummer premier 161 or neversummer t5 163. What size freeride board do you think I should get, size nine boots, 180 lbs. You think the 161 or 163, I don't want it to be too long for the trees but I still want to float in the powder when I head west. I was thinking I could pull off the 161, what you think?
  3. I will be getting an off peak pass to bear, the earlybird with another person, nice and cheap and so worth it. I don't go much during the day on weekends or holidays anyways, its too packed. When I get bored and want to freeride I head up tp Blue on Sunday nights and ride for cheap and the place is usually empty.

    Ride SPi's

My Drake Mikey Leblancs were crap and were always breaking, I heard a rumor that agency is done with bindings and won't be releasing any this year, not sure if its true.

    Ride SPi's

I love Ride bindings, I have been riding the Flight Tomcats for the park and the Flight MIGS on my all around board and have not had one problem for the last two seasons. The SPI are suppose to be an all mountain binding, if thats what you want then I would get them. Anyone see the new Ride Bindings yet, I wanna get the Teams for my freeride board.
  6. You will be alright just stay within boundaries, when I was there this year I almost got suck in a gully, I went off the trsil figurung the trail I was on was going to wrap around. It didn't and I had to hike out of a gully for about an hour in two feet of snow. I thought I was going to be spending the night there, very scary. Definitley stay inbounds and try to meet people to ride with, the people out there are very chill and laid back and probably won't mind yopu tagging along. You should definitley go if you have never been out there. What resorts you plan on going to?

    New board Poll

Out of those boards I would go with the Ride DH. I would also reccomend a Neveer SUmmer Evo. I ride a Never Summer Evo and love it, its great for park and pipe. Its kinda stiff but has great pop and is indestructable, I rode the park all season and there is nothing wrong with the base. Its great in the park but you can also take it out of the park and it handles great. Never Summer also has a 3 year warranty on all their boards.
  8. After 4 days of powder riding my legs were close to done, its a lot easier just to fly down a groomer. The powder is much better but not when it was tracked out and choppy, like it was at Park City that day. So riding some groomers wasn't that bad. If it would have dumped the night before I wouldn't have been on the groomers, I would have been up in Jupiters bowl or riding through the trees.
  9. I just got back from Utah a little bit ago, what a great place. My first time out west amd we had good conditions with a lot of snow. The first day we hit the Canyons with 10 inches fresh and blue skies, I didn't think it could get much better, but it did. The second day we went to Snowbird, they recieved a lot of snow a day ago and some fresh over night. Riding the tram up was different and led to some unreal terrain. Mineral Basin was amazing, I couldn't believe the size of the place. Third day we went to Brighton which was my favorite place, no crowds and a lot of snow. They were getting snow all week long, plus eight fresh the night before and it snowed about five inches while we were there. White out conditions early but it cleared up by mid morning but stayed windy. This was the most snow I have boarded in, the trees were unreal. Fourth Day we hit up Snowbasin which was a lot different than the other resorts. The place was wide open but kinda tracked out. We found some nice stuff though at the edge of the resort that was still fresh and fun. We had a nice warm sunny day, and I would love to go back to this place, it has to be awesome after a big storm. Fifth day and final day of riding we went to Park City. The conditions sucked in the morning cold, windy, and cloudy. But it did feel nice to be back on some groomers. The park there ws real nice though and we played around in that for a while then watched the Mens Snowboard Superpipe Championships. The pipe was huge, 22 foot walls. I never saw anything like this before, they were going huge. I was right on the side of the pipe where they would make their first hit. We left after the first runs, not sure who won. The skier were going the next day. The trip turned out better than I expected and I will definitley be traveling back to Utah next season, hopefully more than once.
  10. Sounds great, I am heading out there tomorrow, plane leaves at seven in the morning. I have never been out west so I can't wait to get out there hope we get some snow. I think we are going to try to make to a few different resorts, probably Park City, The Canyons, Brighton and Snowbird.
  11. thanks for the advice, I think I am gonna go the disposable route. A foot each day thats awesome, I hope we get that lucky. I heard they are a little weird with alcohol sales.
  12. Well I am leaving in a few days a just had another question, I never take pictures but want to when I am out there. I don't know whether to buy a digital camera or just take some disposables. I don't want to break a digi but I don't want crappy pics. Anyone know any good digital cameras not to expensive?
  13. I was up there sunday night and could not believe how crowded it was, the conditions were pretty good for the amount of people on the hill but the lift lines sucked.
  14. I'll be heading to Stratton for the weekend, I've never been there. I usually go to Killington but we got a free place to stay in stratton.

  16. There is one resort I know of that does not allow skiers, it was in snowboard magazine a little while ago. The place is called raging bull snowboard park, its in chicago and is more of a hill than a resort but its still pretty cool, heres the link : http://www.ragingbuffalo.com/snow_home.htm Check out the terrain pics, looks like the stuff is setup pretty nice.
  17. I really like the snow at Bear Creek, always seems to be good, they do a great job with their snowmaking. The only other resort that I find their snow to be good quite often is Jack Frost, every time I am up there it is nice, but they are also much further north.
  18. Thanks for all the info, the canyons are huge and as for the experts park I don't think I am ready for that, but I'll check it out. I am probably just going to freeride since I don't get to do it that much. I ride park all season at BC and am looking forward to just cruising. But if our trip lacks snow than I will definitley be hiiting up some parks. So everyone thinks I will be fine on the 162?
  19. I will be heading out to Park City in about a month, it will be my first time out west. We are staying in a condo in Park City and was wondering if anyone had any good info on the area or surrounding resorts. Any good restaraunts or places to get a drink, and what mountains to got to. We booked a rental car so we can travel a bit if we want to, we are staying seven days and plan on riding at Park City, The Canyons, Brighton and Snowbird, so any info would be appreciated. Now for the board help, my all mountain/freeride board is a 162 and am worried it might not float me in the pow if we get any as I weigh around 200 lbs. Should I buy another board or wait since I will probably only use it out there, or will the 162 be okay? Any good freeride board you guys know of, I have been looking at NS Titan 169, Option siganture 166 and a few others. Any suggestions on size and brands is appreciated. Sorry this post is loaded with questions but I don't wanna mess up my first time out west.

    1/29

It was real nice up at Blue today eventhough it was soft. It was the first time I got to check out the park and was impressed much better than year past.
  21. I was up there today and it was awesome. It was a liitle crowded for a friday but the new stuff they have set up looks great and they were cutting the pipe. I think you will definitley like how its setup for the contest. Lots of real good riders and skiers up there today killing it on the new stuff. A few people from the blue freeriders team as well. Good luck to whoever is competing, I'd be up there to watch but I have to work. The snow was slow today and probably will be tomorrow as well so keep em waxed.
  22. Very nice, it looks like they have some real nice stuff up there. I haven't been up there this year but I might have to check it out. Those boxes looked like a lot of fun.
  23. I liked the layout of the park a lot last night, they took some features out but what was there was setup nice. I didn't hit a lot of stuff because I messed up my back pretty bad a couple weeks ago and it was my first night out since. I liked the smaller c-box in the small park along with the flat boxes they had setup. The rainbow box is always fun and I got my first look at the new rollercoaster box which seemed to be leaning to the right a litttle bit.

    New goggles

Anons are my favorite by far, I have the figments and they are real comfy and never fog. For that price I would check out the Anon Subrosa's.

    My first

The difference between bs and fs boardslide has been argued to death and I am still not sure which is which. It is easier for me to hit a rail with my back facing down the mtn. When I go forwards and I am facing down the mtn. I have trouble. I ride goofy ( don't know if that matters) but I still don't which is which.
