I've always been a casual skier and have usually stopped skiing each year after March. Planning to do some spring skiing this year but not sure what to expect. It looks like Whistler will be open longer this year due to the new Jersey Cream chair they will be building on Blackcomb. Should I expect the entire Whistler Alpine to be open during the spring season (aside from periodic closures for specific reasons)? Is there a high avalanche risk with the warmer temperatures? I assume it will be raining a good chunk of the time - is the key to just choose the days with no precipitation? Any spring skiing tips are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
