the only one I can see opening anytime soon is boulder. looks like we'll be waiting until at least mid december for blue...I really hope they grind out and get sidewinder done early, otherwise I won't be skiing any legit'ish park until late january

Shadow shifts with various departments: Ski Patrol, Food and Beverage, Lift Operations, etc. aka you work like the rest of employees...sounds like a seriously stupid contest. if you want a job at a place like the canyons or pcmr just fucking apply, you don't need to win no contests, it's retardedly easy to get a job at a huge resort out west. sure you don't get VIP lodging and heliskiing and all the BS but who really needs all that crap anyway.

the only problem with anti smoking is they usually get rid of the butt buckets. people will still smoke, and then instead of disposing of their butts properly just flick them. they did that at bucks when I went there and after the ban the campus was covered in butts, it truely looked like shit. then they hired some hobo dude to clean them up, who later wound up assaulting a student. see where smoking bans get you?

smoking in the lift line is pretty rude/wack, and that's coming from a smoker. especially on crowded days. smoking on the lift sucks too, it's all windy and stupid. smoking anywhere on the hill is pretty gay now that I think about it (besides the parking lot).
