Wrist guards, helmets, and crash pads are one thing, but hockey pants? Are you fucking joking? Who would WANT to ski with a "mini cooper" strapped to their hips
-
I haven't skied there much, but the parks have really made an improvement rail wise. Some of the bigger jumps they had last year were built very dangerously, IMO

A month in WP with no car? I hope you brought scrabble

Skiing East vs West: It's not just ice vs powder
Justin replied to sexkitten's topic in General Chat
It's living in summit county thats wack. All everyone really does is get fucked up every night and ski the next day, it's sort of like being in isolation. Living in tourist trapping ski towns sucks. Everything is expensive, nothings open late, and there's nothing to do besides party and ski. It's fun for a while, but having a normal city type life is almost impossible...you get burned out, quick. Either that or run out of money. It's a shitty place to be as a young kid in a fucked economy, but people still do it. For a while I wanted to live in the mountains full-time and take a break from school, but I'd still miss denver. School really keeps me in check plus there's tons of shit to do in denver all the time, having that plus 60 miles to keystone is a pretty awesome thing... -

There are plenty of animals that would kill the fuck out of you in ski resorts in CO.

Could that guy get any farther away when shaking his hand? -

That sounds absolutely fucking terrible, but if that's what you want to do, more power to you.

It's just the DC team riding and hanging out. They were at breck and keystone a few weeks ago.

From their facebook page: They'll be open in the afternoon if they open at all...plus they said nothing about the 10 cans of food

Be prepared to ski park. The conditions are pretty decent, some days are softer than others. As far as snow...don't expect much. Even if there's a dump it'll be pretty tough to ski, the pow out here is really light and fluffy...and when that lays on top of crusty leftover crud you sink through the nice stuff and tend to get bitten by serious snowsnakes from the crud. Last season we had a foot in mid march, but it was pretty hard to ski even with my 114 waist skis. I caught a few times and ragdolled a bunch...not very fun. I'd skip copper and stick with breck and keystone...A51 is always dope and freeway/park lane is fun as shit as well late season. Plus if you get a multiple day lift you can use them at any vail resort, copper is owned by a different company. Usually breck has a good spring setup, keystone starts building their superpark around that time so they wind up closing a good part of the park for that....plus park crew's attention is on the superpark and not so much the condition of a51 as a whole, so shit gets rutted and they sometimes take a bunch of shit out. It's not going to be the best conditions, but its sure gonna be better than PA in April, without a doubt.

I had those on my invaders...I snagged a pair of 07/08 jibs (I think) for my bangs and bacons for cheap new at the ski and golf. They have the beefier heel I believe.

Dude, you're making it like without a lesson you're gonna legit die, which may be true for some people, but nobody on this messageboard. For someone coming with nothing to the hill, a $50 tip might be appropriate, but for any of us $50 on top of a $75 lesson is just ridiculous. Maybe I'm just seeing things differently because I've only had one lesson in my life (snowboarding one was I was 6), but I wouldn't want to shell out $125 for $75 worth of instruction.
