not that bad really. every now and then one of those fuckers would buzz around my head but they weren't too much of a problem.

to see that much snow and ride a pretty damn legit setup in late august for free is pretty damn epic. there's a flat down, small urban down bar, bigger urban down rail, a double barrel, and an up rail setup right now. the snow is surprisingly good for august too....the lips were fine pretty much all day as long as you fix them up every now and then. we'll probably be there every weekend until the a-basin lifts open or they close the access road for snowmaking.

The slush/ice thing is a problem with every pipe. Even breck's was like that last season (and they probably have one of the best pipes in the US), it's unavoidable since the sun will almost always hit one wall and not the other. From what I can remember two seasons ago, blue's pipe was actually pretty sick. I thought it was fun on the few days of the season we were actually able to have a good session on it. I don't think we'll ever see a rope tow though...and if you're coming from lower sidewinder, I don't see how it's hard to get to it really, it's been a while so maybe I'm just forgetting. They just need to cut it daily and it'll be sick. Probably the worst thing about it was the bumps that form at the flat bottom from people skiing straight through it.

I wish I had skis with me.... I'll be skiing on real snow sunday though

I want to stop being such a lazy park rat next year...hopefully there will be more snowfall. I'm not gonna be held back by my pass restrictions too so I want to ski more of beav and vail...I'd also like to get a few days in at copper and winter park. I'd also like to make a trip out to Utah, I have a friend that lives in Park City so it's not too far out of reach.

I mean in all respects lets be honest here...when I think of skiing glades, I think of making my own lines in fresh snow (with no CO residence bias when I say that)...I stay far far away from the trees when they're tracked out...not really fun for me. I guess it could be kinda cool though as long as they keep enough snow in there. Seems like a really good way to hit rocks.

Sick rain all day today in denver...and wet snow yesterday. SO pissed I couldn't make it up this weekend. I had to help my roommate move all his shit into a storage unit for the summer and I had to move some shit in as well. Still hitting up abasin all week though before I head out to cali.
