  1. Yeah to me thats the best part. I love being in the middle of the city and being able to see huge ass mountains. Driving out there is cool and all but I live in the city so being able to see that everyday all the time is awesome.
  2. Buses are always cool. Sleep on the ride up/back and you can get drunk without having to drive
  3. Well my mom really wanted to see the mountains before she left, so we took a trip up to Keystone (I needed to pick up my pass anyway). Right as we were coming along Loveland pass there was a spot so I had to take some pictures. Some of the other pictures (actually, most of them except for 2) my mom took in the car with my camera on auto. I only have iPhoto on my new computer so they're kinda sucky but still...this place is beautiful.
  4. 50? Is it right after the wallride like the "big" jump was last year? Even that jump was unsafe I always will have love for the blue jump line, it's not so big that you risk death and always flows nicely. My only gripe is the grooming sometimes and short landings...I remember last year some days the landings had moguls and the lips had ice under the sugar. Terrible for setting your pop.
  5. Damn, Blue must have their shit down this year. Top to bottom Sidewinder before January, last year Sidewinder wasn't open until the 19th. Anyone hit these jumps?
  6. Sidewinder opened already? The whole run? Jump line? Just curious, if so, I say rock on blue
  7. JF isn't much better. I went there for the first time in 5 years last weekend and I wasn't impressed. The east mountain had some nice steep headwalls but they were super short. Not worth the slow lift back up. Didn't come close to Blue...way longer runs, and two high speed lifts.
  8. Just a FYI, you can use JF tickets at Boulder. When I was there ONE had: Flatbox 3 Flat Rails, the last one had about a 5-6 foot gap onto it and a steep landing 15ft and 20ft step down 10ft table At least that's what I can remember. It's not a very long run and the lift ride back up is slow as balls. Also almost all of the boxes/rails are ride on and very close to the ground. Still a fun setup though, regardless. The first jump was trash but the second actually had some good pop to it and a half decent landing. If you want to ski park, just go to boulder.
  9. I might go...I have way to much to still pack though
  10. Why can't this be one day earlier, I'm driving to Colorado on Saturday.
  11. Do they still have those two jumps? Those looked fucking sick.
  12. I'm by no means putting Blue down in profits...they definitely reel in the day trip/philly crowd. JFBB gets more people from NY/NJ I'd say. I'm just saying from an investor standpoint JFBB looks really good due to the fact they have a shitton more of developing real estate near by.
  13. JFBB was a really goo investment for Peak. Think about it - two mountains for the price of one, good climate, and they have other investments to work off of. JF has a golf course, both mountains have tons of real estate development at the base of the mountain. The only thing that sucked about it was the skiing, and they changed that. Blue on the other hand is a hill in the middle of rock quarys and.....palmerton? No secondary investments there. JFBB looked like a slam dunk to Peak.
  14. He's been working more on exposure and bringing comps to boulder than getting the setup dialed in. Boulder still has three top to bottom (more or less) park runs before Christmas. And Frost also has a top to bottom run. It's still sick, but last year they really had their shit together and this year I feel like they're kind of sluggish. Regardless their setup is still the best and its maintained the best out of anywhere else around here.
  15. Boulder was pretty shitty, honestly, but it was more of mother nature's fault. With all the natural snow they blew snow on top of it so it was a sticky mess in some parts. They also cut the lip on the jump down a good bit. Between that, the snow, and my dry ass bases (laziness) I had some speed issues. Caught the knuckle on a 3 second hit of the day...smashed my face with my knees. Not so fun. Freedom was normal...setup is getting old though. I'd be pissed if I wasn't moving to Colorado in 6 days. Super disappointed though. I thought they would have a jump line before I left.
  16. I got there around 10. East Mtn was pretty tracked out and cruddy. The park was decent though, they had a 15 and 20 step down. The 20 was real fun and easy to throw shit on, definitely going back tomorrow morning. I'm at boulder now super bored in the lodge, waiting for people to show up
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a jump line up this weekend. Were they blowing on Boulder Park? And something tells me that they'll be adding some more stuff to Freedom. The setup is real sick but they could fit a few more features in there.
  18. typical frozen blue mt crackhead grooming right there....
  19. Seen the NS update, they've been getting a good amount of snow
  20. oh, fail
  21. I just saw Breck's update on NS, oh my god
  22. I just ordered a new one today leaving my current one useless to me. Specs: 15.4" 2.16 Intel Core Duo 2GB 667mHz DDR2 RAM SuperDrive 256MB ATI Radeon X1600 120GB HD (Says 111GB from system profile, I honestly can't remember the stock config) Comes loaded with Leopard, Final Cut, Aperture, Creative Suite, Logic Pro, Recycle, Battery 3, tons of pro apps Applecare through April 2009 I'll also throw in a Canon scanner. Overall it's in really good shape. Only upgrading because I'm taking advantage of my employee discount before I leave. The bottom case has a small buckle in it from typing with my wrists down. Other than that there's a few scratches here and there but nothing serious. I talked to a genius about the buckling and he said it would most likely be covered under applecare, just too lazy to get it fixed. Also I won't be able to sell it until later this week. I need to do a data transfer onto my new one which hasn't got here yet. Just looking for a buyer in the meantime. Asking a firm $750. Open to trades for some powder skis+cash, maybe even trade if they're new.
  23. One more weekend of BB....
  24. I'll be there by 11am the 1st
  25. Boulder was dead today, so perfect
