I don't see why people are bitching. I'm actually stoked myself and I never really liked BC too much. I'll probably be up a few days next week after school...thats the perfect time for afterschool skiing.
-
I was going to head up today but the rain scared me away. I'll probably head up tomorrow and friday to get some spring break shredding in and say my goodbyes to Blue.

I don't quite understand their logic. If they are looking for "good attendance" in the hike park, then why is it only open on weekdays.

The Commander feature doesn't work very well. Optical slaves (which is what the commander feature is) will only work in a studio or if it's really dark out, they aren't for daylight use and definitely aren't good for anything fast moving. The sync is awful with them and they will give you a hard time 98% of the time. I'd highly recommend eBay slaves if not PW's. With a simple mod they work really well for the price (I spent like $40 for the trigger and three receivers). Sometimes they give me trouble when my flashes are far away but it's expected for something so cheap. Also invest in umbrella stands and hook up the receivers with sync cords, I don't trust the hotshoe mount on them. I rarely get misfires and I've had them sync up to 1/750. Just put RF-04 or PT-04 into an eBay search and they'll pop up. If you need extra receivers just ask the seller. Here is the mod you're gonna want to do, after this they are much better: http://forums.skateperception.com/index.php?showtopic=101002

Natty light pictures are meant to have underexposed and overexposed areas. Just like you see light and dark things with your eyes, your camera would be no different. Trev, I think you should invest in a few flashes. I have three Vivitar 285HV's that are triggered with eBay slaves (or Pocketwizards, much more $$$), and they're great. Natural light, in my opinion, sucks balls unless you're shooting MF. Having two or three flashes cranked up to full power will let you shoot f11 at your lowest ISO...less natural light is always better.

Oh...in that case, we can still probably get 2 or 3 teams. Who's down? Sounds like mad fun...
-
If that happens, then shame on Blue
-
Hmmmm just realized it said any number of skiers. So wait then why does it say we're inviting all teams of 4?
-
We could probably get together 2 or 3 Blue teams...I'm in

I'll have a bottle of Jacquin's with me. Hopefully it's cold so it'll come in handy.
-
Now if only CB was worth the extra drive...I'd rather ski Blue.

Just consider that most people that frequent this board read posts from the "view new posts" feature, I know I do. I almost never pay attention to what forum anything was posted in. And honestly, I'm not trying to start a fight here. But your biggest problem is attacking and digging into the lives of people you don't know at all. For never actually talking to Doug, you assumed that his dad pays his bills for him.... And that's that. People are dicks on the internet. If you give them something to argue about, then they will. They wouldn't have this emoticon if it wasn't true:

I sat in my house about 5 minutes from Blue and watched it downpour all day. There's no fucking way people actually skied in that.
-
I remember hearing buzz from someone who talked to a ski patroller. They said to prepare to work until the 30th.
-
Is anyone else really fucking confused at this sticker thing?

Damn cant wait. Hopefully my car is back in order again for this weekend. FYI Calling the outfit now - expect lots of muddy MX gear and a fullface.

I've been on here since November 2004. Shit changed a lot, thats all I have to say.

a question for those that ski/board in rainy weather
Justin replied to putbadstuffhere13's topic in Blue Mountain
Just prepare to get REALLY WET. Especially on the lift, because that will be soaked. And if the weather is just right, your ass will freeze to the seats. Usually crowds will be a lot less, but expect hits to be mush/shrink as the day goes on. Early skiing only, after noon it will suck. -
Reactor bindings are like concrete. Maybe you should look into skis that aren't 4 years old...

Palmertanians keep their distance. Shits like a 15 minute drive. I need to hang my yellow air freshener whenever I park there...if they find out im a k-town krusher things might get ugly.

Blue Mountain base village. Actually it's on the outskirts of the dirty kunks, far away from the trailers and hicks. Right next to Pudliner's farm and down the street from Hawk Trucking, right on Bolinger Rd. about a 1/2 mile before it dead ends and splits to Kunkletown Rd.

Well we have three quads at the house, I might actually ride one of those to Blue. Only problem is that two of them aren't running and the one that is doesn't have a clean title...
