  1. Yeah I'm aware. By house I mean house in Kunkletown, it might actually be possible to walk to Blue. Probably about an hour walk. Definitely could ride a bike there.
  2. I just wish I had a car so I can get out and ski. I'll probably be at my house this weekend but with no car, my friend needs me to come up and cut firewood for his aunt. Maybe I'll walk to Blue
  3. Cough*endofseason*Cough It went up to 57 today. Fuck.

    Maine

When that starts to melt, watch out.
  5. Thats kind of a cocky statement. Welcome to the world of competing, you ski what's given to you. Did you see the US Open course this year? The jumps were horrid, but the bottomline is that you need to do the best with what you got. Being able to ski anything, especially shitty features, separates skiers from the pack. I mean sure anyone can throw down on picture perfect jumps.
  6. Racers want people to go on their trails, so they can rip by them thinking that proves something.
  7. Blue is about 5 min. from my house in the kunks. Why drive farther to ski BB? (Papasteeze we know your answer )
  8. Yeah. But on a side note, rails were much easier to me on a snowboard than jumps. For some reason jumping and just ripping down trails in general seem hard. Mostly because I don't feel real comfortable conforming my whole body to one board, and I don't like having my feet locked in a fixed position. On skis, I feel 110% more comfortable hitting jumps, charging rails, etc. I'd always go much slower at things on a snowboard.
  9. I'm really hoping Blue makes it to April. I know BB will, and I'll still probably end up skiing there, but it would be super nice to not have to pay for anything.
  10. On skis? 5050s not only look retarded, but can usually be more dangerous.
  11. I think rails are way harder than jumps. All you need to straight air is the right amount of speed and balls. Rails take a lot more.
  12. Ill be there from 7:30 until whenever.
  13. I've been wanting to ski some East Mtn. for a while, it's been 3 years.
  14. Next PASR sticker?
  15. FUCK, I seriously wish I had some cash for them Big Troubles tomorrow.
  16. I like them both, but I must say jumps are way more fun. With the way Sidewinder is set up, I session both equal amounts though. Hit rails up top, then the jump line, then either ski the pipe or mess around in Lower Terrain, and repeat. PA does seem to focus more on the rail aspect of parks than anything else though, so in turn it kind of makes you ski rails a bit more. Plus, that's all you get in the beginning of the season before the jumps are built and the end of the season when they are all melted away.
  17. Honestly I think that we will ALL argue until blue in the face about this. Bottomline is that there WILL be gapers in the park, especially in PA. We just need to deal with them the best we can. Kids will get run over, people will get hurt. We all just need to try our hardest to avoid that happening. The fact of the matter is that we're dealing with small, overcrowded, short, jam packed runs. Throw park features on one of them and there will be major skier traffic through it, 'nuff said. Management will not give in to park passes, at least for a while. So what can we do now? Have a spotter for jumps when it's super crowded. Get there earlier to beat crowds. And, the most important one of all: If it's super crowded, and super shitty, just call it quits. Chances are with our crappy climate jumps aren't worth hitting past 2pm. Session rails, mess around, or just call it a day. If I'm skiing from 7:30AM I'm usually dead around that time anyway.

    Friday 2/29

    Might be there around 2.
  19. What year were they?
  20. Don't forgot the guy in the squirrel costume, and the little kid wearing a full size accurate panda head helmet cover.
  21. Oh, my, god. That setup looks so sick. I'm super pissed I didn't enter haha. I'll still be up anyway, seeing as KOP isn't far.
  22. I'd poke a few holes too for ventilation. Once that gets wet, the fur and bandana will freeze, and your life will suck twice as hard.

  24. Bleh I want to go skiing so bad, but I promised my mom I'd stay home and shovel. Oh well at least I get to not go to school, and it's friday. Time to scope out some urban spots
