Just remember to put your boots in your carry on bag. That way if they lose your stuff you can at least demo a board.

I was getting 4 hits out of Blue's pipe. I could of got more but I carved the left side wall too much. If Sno's pipe is seriously 300'...the in-run better be super steep. Otherwise I will be disappointed.
-
500' seems good. The X-Games pipe was about that, with 18' walls. Tanner Hall was getting 7 hits out of it...
-
400' according to the site. You get about 4 or 5 good hits if you can pump both walls really well (it's hard when one is icy so you cant edge).

I'll be there most likely.

Sunday Feb 17th at Blue _ who is going to be there?
Justin replied to Papasteeze's topic in Blue Mountain
I'm lurking in the last clip so hard, that bright ass green jacket really stands out. -
True.... If Blue had a 22' pipe I'd probably be scared shitless of it
-
I honestly believe this 22 footer is so excessive. It'll probably only be rideable a few days out of the year, it needs to be cut daily. Not to mention fresh snow needs to be accumulated on the walls or the thing will turn into a giant icy mess like Blue is sometimes (but when they blow and recut it, it's amazing).

Yeah, just dodge the Volkswagen sized moguls real quick. You can't miss it.

I have PX12 Jibs on my Invaders and I love them. Hadn't had a single problem with them yet. I'd just keep skiing your setup until the season is over. Right now is usually the time where people's skis really get worked...its not worth it to get new ones right now IMO. My invaders have a few little coreshots and my edges are pitted to hell in a bunch of spots, and they still ski OK. And just like a bunch of people said, don't get them again. The bases blow and can't hold wax because they're so god damn hard. But I'm just dealing with it right now until the season is over. I'd like to have a 100% fresh setup for the start of next season than start off on skis that already have 20 or so days on them (thats for me, if you ski less then it might not be a bad idea).

Justin replied to Papasteeze's topic in Blue Mountain
Well considering Park Crue is reopening the park with freshly blown snow and recut (maybe even new?) features, you may or may not be getting a whole new park. Needless to say, if they can blow just enough, the park should be the best its been all year, if not better. I believe they are reshaping the jumps as well. KNOCK ON WOOD -

I'll be there from 7:15-3ish. Looks like a sick session for sure. -
Good point. I almost seen a few collisions with the roller. Then again the few times I actually hit the jumps this past weekend I was dropping from the bottom'ish of the DFD box and could still see my line pretty clearly. But with the hip, you could see way farther down to the 4th jump pretty much. Like I said, I'm definitely not against the hip. I just would like to have the steep drop for the left side just like it is for the right.
-
Well I'm sorry you feel that way. I was just stating my opinion. I prefer the roller than the hip. If the hip is coming back...then it should be widened so you have the steep drop in for both the left and right side. So I guess I'm a tool because I can't get enough speed? I'm riding Invaders with easily 30+ days on them. I wax once if not twice a week. My skis are slow...I won't be buying them again next year. I'm only skiing them now because I can't afford a whole new setup and I only skied 7 days on them last year. With the hip, I skated like crazy and sat on my tails just to barely clear the first jump on the left side. I know that myself and others will agree that the sharp turn into the jump line kills speed. In fact, I was talking about this with Justin and Kevin on Sunday. With the roller, I feel a lot more comfortable because you can pump it going into the turn and come out facing the jumps as opposed to just making a straight up turn. I'd rather speed check and possibly land a bit low than straight-run and knuckle. And by placing rails in that strip of nothing after the last hit...I didn't mean immediately after the jump. Maybe place a rail between the octo-cone and one or two towards the left before the staircase. That's a giant stretch of wasted trail, and not everybody hits the last jump. Even if you did, there is way enough space to stop or slow down before coming into the rail section. Dude it's called opinion. Everybody's are different. I don't see how that makes me a tool because we have two different ideas. I always thought you were a cool guy even though we never really talked much, but damn...

Eaton Compressors are tanks. They're only $139 new and come with a 2 year full warranty. I need a good portable compressor that I can run air tools and a spray gun with. Something I can throw into the back of a truck that doesn't take up a lot of space. This thing has double the CFM as the ones they sell at Lowe's for double the price. Plus, those are all oil-less compressors. Over time the piston coating wears out and the thing seizes up. With oiled compressors, as long as you change the oil every now and then it will last forever. This is the ideal compressor you'd want for home snowmaking too. I messed around with it a few years back as well. You need CFM in snowmaking, most compressors wont cut it. This one does, and it's cheap too. http://www.eatoncompressor.com/catalog/ite...3537/450646.htm

This upcoming weekend at Blue should be gaper-mania. I'll probably break out my camera and start baggin' me some kills.

This past weekend the park was in HORRIBLE condition. Last Thursday they cut the jumps in half, rebuilt the lips with only one takeoff (same size as the left side line before). They also knocked down the hip and replaced it with a roller. The rails shrinked a decent amount, with the first two being basically ride-on. They flipped around that rolly box dealy, and replaced the flat box-drop-flat box with a single flat box. Jumps had potential to be money...but the landings were just real real bombed out and super worked from the crap weather. Hopefully with the cold front they can blow like crazy and fix the park. I actually prefer the new in-run than the way it was before. I would always have speed issues for the left, but now with that nice roller to pump on, I can get my speed dialed perfect. Coming from the hip most of my speed is killed making that sharp turn into the jump. Also the bigger size of the first two hits seemed to deter people from them, and since they were longer, the pit of death formed on the flat section as opposed to the landing. I'm feeling the box line up top as well. Since you guys took out that stupid death drop box setup, you can hit all boxes in a line or all rails in a line. You either have the long flat box-flat box-flat down, or the flat rail-long bar-single barrel. The only changes I'd like to see would be setting up the double barrel, and adding some rails to that long stretch of nothing after the last jump. Also if you could reshape the jumps to be more of a step up that will "scare" the general public from hitting them making it better for the people who actually use them properly.

how is spring mountain (spring mount, pa)?
Justin replied to putbadstuffhere13's topic in General Chat
For beginners, I'd say its great. Any more than that drive farther north. The runs are super tiny and the lifts are real slow, so if thats what you're into, go for it. But if you're a beginner every mountain is basically the same thing to you anyway. -
Blue Mt. style Parking Wars?

All the advice you should need is this - turn your head. Wherever your head is looking, your body will follow, which is why spotting your landing is so important.
-
Cheap what? You get plans and build one yourself out of pipe fittings.
-
Let me know if you want to sell the compressor. Shoot me a PM or something and I can grab it from your house this week.
