  1. Sidewinder has never closed for reshaping this year, nor will it. A few boxes were closed for Sunday School two Sundays ago. It's only been open for a week and a half.
  2. Interesting.
  3. At least you can still ride with a hand injury....
  4. I've seen people telemark on twin tips doing boxes at Stowe.
  5. Moving people off jumps is almost a necessity for safety in the park. Most jumps have blind landings. I remember I fell on one of the jumps at Blue with a snowboarder trailing my ass in the line. He hit the jump and seen me mid air, tried to land sideways and broke his board. He was so pissed, but it was his fault for following me.

I'm sure your spread eagles were nice, but not nearly as nice as mine.
  7. I had a bit of a rough night last night so I decided to not ski today. Plus the doc told me to stay off skis for a couple days to let my cuticle heal. Everything looks all good now so I'll be up shredding tomorrow.
  8. I think the best coaching is to just roll deep with a bunch of skiers, most that are better than you. You'll naturally be pushed to learn new tricks. Otherwise I'd check out Blue Mt. Freeriders. It's a real good group and Trev seems like a great instructor. The kids in it vary from just about every skill range you can be at.
  9. Dizzzzzamm, late hours. I'm usually gone by 2, but I might be around who knows. I'll be the ass in the obnoxiously bright green jacket.
  10. The judges were just bitching because T Hall got more hits out of the pipe than Dumont. They were using him as a role model of what the other skiers should do in their run, which makes sense, his runs were perfect. If they're aren't judging so much towards amplitude, then how come Andreas placed so low?
  11. I'll be looking out this weekend....
  12. Wow....Dumont was robbed.....
  13. Well maybe she's working past 10am With that said, I've never seen a girl working Park Crue either.
  14. You didn't miss slopestyle....thats not until the weekend. All you missed was ski superpipe elimination which was last night. I'm so stoked for big air tomorrow night. I'm a little disappointed with the slopestyle though, it's lacking jibs.
  15. Tanner had a solid solid run. I think Olenick got robbed though with the 65. He put his hand down twice but I thought he would of at least gotten 4th place.
  16. Day 1 already went down, and since I can't ski I've been on PASR and NS all day now.... Ski Superpipe Semi-Finals were yesterday. Tonight is the finals, it's going to be nuts so I'd watch it (ESPN2@9PM). You might even get to see some Slopestyle practice, the setup is NUTS. Link: http://www.newschoolers.com/web/content/news/news_id/1853/ For those to lazy to click.... The lineup for tonight is T Hall, Dumont, Kevin Rolland, Andreas Hatveit, Mike Riddle, Jossi Wells, Matt Hayward, Colby West, Olenick, and Sean Field. Pics of the slopestyle: :drool :drool
  17. True, the two flat box drop thing is just pointless though. Way too steep of a drop to do anything on. That wavy down flat down type box dealy-o is pretty fun, although circusy, but in a good way. The tranny box looks like pure death on a stick.
  18. If it's on the circus jibs then I won't be entering. Otherwise I'll be down for sure. Sounds super fun. Depends on how my toe is doing though.
  19. Definitely. Boulder's lips are nice and wide and are built with a transition. Blue finally made their lips wider, but they're just a wedge, no transition. I don't do too much spinning onto rails but I can imagine it being easier on Boulder's lips.
  20. Probably the reason why I wont ski without a helmet now.
  21. I'd grab that up in a second if I had the cash. I'd love to retire the GTI for the winter. Maybe in the future....
  22. I think that came out wrong. A flat box maybe 8' or 10' OFF THE GROUND with maybe a 2' or so disaster to it. Basically a huge, high up, deadly, but fun flat box. I guess that wouldn't make it a disaster then, oh well. A disaster down rail would be crazy...but I can see so many people getting killed on it.
  23. I'd like to see some type of disaster flat box set up as an option on one of the jumps. Like a full size 20' or so jump with a flat box setup with an 8' or 10' disaster to it. Kind of like how the bus was last year.
  24. Freedom gets just as fucked up as Blue does. Landings get dug out super quick with even a small amount of skier traffic and warm enough weather..... Boulder may be sick, and their lips are way poppier and better, but it's still not invincible.
  25. That sounds like a decent idea. The thing about the swingset is the fact that if you need to bail you're pretty much dead.
