Dang you gotta be 18. If I lie about my age then they won't let me get it when I show them my license.

Well in that case, she was absolutely gorgeous. I felt like a doit because my debit card got declined and I had to use my moms. That pretty much ruined all chances of getting her number.

They shouldn't have glade runs if they are afraid of a noob slamming into a tree. It would be the same as if they hit a tree anywhere else, or just got hurt, for that matter. The trail is a black diamond (although JF doesn't seem to use double black diamonds) and its clearly marked that it is a difficult trail. I mean anybody could in theory access it, noob or not, but if they do so, it is at their own risk. Lawsuits end all the fun...

I wouldn't say shortest poles in the UNIVERSE. The fact that they are bent to shit makes them appear smaller. Your poles were huge and heavy, I would get cramps from holding them all day.P.S. If the girl who took my pass picture is on here, PM me your number please. Make sure you get the goofy/regular thing straightened out. Have a friend push you from behind. Whichever foot you put out first to catch yourself should be the front foot on your board.Traditionally, right handed people tend to ride regular. Lefties tend to ride goofy. There are always exceptions though.

So tempted to go, but I have to stay afterschool. I wouldn't get there until 5, ftl. Plus I could use a break, my legs are burning from todays session (out of shape like a mofo). I'll be up Friday-Sun because I'm staying in Kunkletown for the weekend. I also might venture out on thursday because my friend is going to be there with his ski club.

You can mount snowboard bindings in less than 5 minutes. Chances are that you will need to adjust the angle as well, so you might as well do it yourself.

Yeah, I need a serious waxing. I waxed my skis two Saturdays ago, I've been slacking. I'll get on that tomorrow. And yes I was in full tuck on Lazy Mile from pretty much top to bottom and did not catch up with them. Damn slow ass invaders. But Jeff seemed to cover everything. Snow was some delicious slushy stuff from the rain. Park was actually a LOT better than last year for the opening week. They had 2 flat boxes, a butter box, trap box, rollercoaster box, flat down rail, flat-down-flat rain, and a rainbow rail. Not too circusy but plenty of stuff crammed in there to have fun on. No jumps though, there was a tiny one off the side of Lazy Mile as always.

So is Blue not opening this weekend?

Went up to BB again for a quick ski fix before I head south for the week.... "Left" school at 1:00, made excellent time again, rolled up to BB at around 2:45. Booted up, got my lift ticket (off-peak rates ftw), then got first chair on the Big Boulder lift 5 minutes before they opened. Took about 5 or 6 runs down Boulder Park, fresh little powder runs with the snowmakers going full blast. I hit the run under the lift for some fresh as well. Lapped that until it started to get skied down and icy. Hiked the plaza again, trying some new stuff on the little box. Then I spent a good hour or two in Freedom, perfect conditions. Everything was excellently groomed and surprisingly it wasn't icy at first. Left that when it started to ice over and went back to the Boulder Park side. Lapped that for a bit, then took some runs down the blues on the side of the mountain. Went back to the plaza and sessioned the box again, then cut out at about 7. All in all great day. Fresh snow. BB had all guns BLASTING. Even more snow and coverage....amazing base for December 4th. The only problem I have is the lack of vert, slow lifts, and the extra 45 minutes driving

Dang, another Blue opening missed. See everybody Monday afternoon when I get my pass....

Bears pipe has always been trash. But honestly I don't expect much from PA resorts in terms of pipes, the demand just isn't there, and its usually empty anyway.

I skied at Big Boulder December the 1st

Mad props for the 4am wait. That must of been husky, and cold, you definitely deserve that shit. So they gave out two First Chair dealys? I thought they only gave one. -
I'm going again tomorrow before I head down to Atlanta until Sunday (need my ski fix before I head south, plus I miss the opening of Blue...), anyone going to be there from here?

A whole Special Blend outfit costs well over $300, I'd say thats worth it. -
I de-tune between my feet. Other than that I never sharpened them since I got them, they're probably really dull by now but they're invaders so who really cares.

No, I'm a complete idiot.

Just got home, skied BB from 3:15-7:30. Woke up at 12:30, ate breakfast, and left at 1:15. Caught no traffic all the way up on the turnpike. It was raining like a BITCH all the way up, made me have second thoughts. As I drove on 903, the rain started to turn into snow/frozen rain. Rolled up to BB at about 3:10, booted up, walked around for 5 minutes trying to find the ticket window (first time in 3 years ). Now, onto the skiing. Took a bunch of laps through LOVE park, then moved over to Boulder Park and lapped that. Hiked the plaza for a bit, fucked around on the tire for a good hour. Stopped for a break at the lounge for something to drink and to warm my feet. Went back and hiked the plaza again, then took a few more runs throughout the mountain before leaving. Snow was in surprisingly amazing condition. Even after it got dark there were very few ice spots. Snow was some real decent hardpack with a few fluffy spots. Excellent coverage everywhere, I forgot it was December. It was COLD today though. On and off snowing. BB was blowing on almost every trail the whole time. Bottomline, had a great time. BB is doing an awesome job this year with their snowmaking. Didn't get a chance to check out Freedom Park because I completely forgot it was there, and it turns out thats where all the good hits are. I had no clue where trails and shit were because I haven't been there in 3 years. I'll be back up Tuesday after school to ski so I'll check it out then.

I'll be there at 3pm on the dot...taking advantage of the $20 ticket. I'll be able to put the $16 I saved into my gas tank, ftw. Probably staying till close if it doesn't ice up super bad. Look for the out-of shape asshole falling on every hit. '06 Line Invaders. Possibly an Aeryx bright green jacket or a Special Blend grey/black jacket with black foursquare pants. My name is rather obvious.

Will Boulder Go 100% Before anyone else is open?
Justin replied to Papasteeze's topic in General Chat
I can't justify spending $$$ on a JFBB pass and still have to wait in line.... I'll be taking weekend and post-season trips up there every now and then to ski the park, but 85% of my skiing will be at Blue. -

Scratch what I said. Pre-season stoke has gotten to me. I'll bite bullet and get the $20 pass deal tomorrow, 3pm-close. -

I really do wish BB was closer and had better pass deals. 1.5 hours+ to go ski is kind of pushing it. I can get to Blue in about an hour from school. -

I've been wanting to hit up BB for some preseason turns.... Now I'll just hold off for Blue though, especially with the preseason rates going away. -
The coping just adds to the strength of the box. Without it, the lexan will eventually wear on the sides from your edges grinding on it. Having the coping on the edges combats this and makes your box stronger. Also, lexan is a bit of a soft material compared to the steel edges on your skis or board. It is possible to get hung up without coping. Cover the sides of the box with some plywood and paint the exterior surfaces with some type of water sealing paint (any paint will work if you can't afford it). Keeping that exposed to water will rot it out and severely weaken it pretty quick, might as well protect your investment.
