    ROADDDDD Trip!

Elk really doesn't live up to its hype.
  2. Where the hell are you going to put a road gap near bear.
  3. No, hahaha. Ya go for the optura 10 or 20. Both identical in features, only the 20 is a bit more expensive due to a larger LCD. They aren't availible any more, so there's some nice deals on eBay. Otherwise, go for a Panasonic 3CCD....PV-GS-whatever. Around $500, but great quality and features for the $$$. Either way, both cameras have great manual settings. WB, WB shift, color levels, saturation, etc. Learn to use all of these to get a super good picture. They also have the baby death lense availble which is a great fisheye for about $300. Get some extra batteries, too.
  4. http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&a...&iwloc=addr Covered in snow :chea:
  5. hahahaha
  6. Can't wait till I get out there to check out echo. All park mountain....
  7. Yea, its definitely possible. I think the LATEST we'll see PA resorts opening is the weekend of the 16th, anyway. The 8th is very possible too. After this weekend the whole week is cold enough for snowmaking...blue should be open the 8th...but the 16th is probably gonna be the deadline all resorts in PA are shooting for
  8. grrr...the 16th we might have Circuit City come out and install our plasma TV on the wall. My mom and dad both have work, and I know I'm gonna get screwing into staying home. They're coming 9-11 too, so that pretty much ruins my day. Looks like I'll have to go on just Sunday then. I was planning on goin both days on opening weekend but oh well...
  9. BC is seriously steepin up their game jibwise. Are you guys gonna bring back the jump line in the tubing run?
  10. aka east coast warming. CO's been skiing since 10/15 Paradise would be sick for a park though. It would be a nice mellow slope thats good for just cruising through hitting endless lines....the landings would be a challenge though for the 375ft booters booter mtn builds
  11. My school had a ski club freshman year, it was mad steezy. It was all seniors so I almost always had a ride about 3 days a week with someone. Then they all graduated.....maybe I should start it back up again.
  12. yea, right next to the leaf blower and helicopter, so I can go heli-skiing in the vast untouched backcountry known as Pennsylvania
  13. my schools ski trip is to BC...$80 bucks for a ticket, rental, and a bus that leaves at 10 and picks you up at 4. WHAT A RIP I'm probably just gonna drive up that day, seeing as its a school day....get there before them and leave after them...and save money. Mmmmmm school day skiing....
  14. Hahahaha...that new trail map was funny. Paradise park would be sick though. How do you take a freaking lift out of storage? Where do you store a lift in the first place? That made me laugh too...
  15. True....I'm sure blue will be open the 8th, not so sure about BB though.
  16. Earliest would be the 8th, but I'm pretty sure its gonna be the 16th. It wont get cold until early next week so they might not be able to blow enough snow to open for next weekend. I know Blue is shooting for the 8th, but I just don't see it happening
  17. d00d i trin to get a sponcer i can do a 180 almost a 3 but i got it ANYWAYS The best way to go about getting a sponsorship is to compete in comps. Let reps and shops know who you are instead of bugging them with emails and sponsor me tapes, tons of kids do this and most dont ever get looked at anyway. But yea. Compete and win in comps. Tons of reps and shop owners are there, usually giving out prizes too. If you win they'll know who you are....eventually it'll happen if you're good enough, you can't force it.
  18. BB is/has been going richtor at back door for quite some time now.
  19. Snowflex.
  20. It might actually be easier on a snowboard. Just haul ass to a 50-50 up the first part...huck the transfer to a f/s boardslide/tailslide on the middle rail. I havent seen this in person, but judging from the pics it looks incredibly hard but very doable on skis or a snowboard. It looks like one of those things that you just need to get in the right mindset, haul ass, then huck as hard as you can.
  21. Imagine how crazy it could be if resorts could like put snow they made wherever they wanted to...like in april just take all of the snow thats left and pile it on like 4 or 5 trails for spring skiing. Then just keep piling the snow on less trails to get coverage...we could ski till May...
  22. The s-box doesn't look very curved, probably hard to hit.
  23. Too bad it didnt result in them opening...just a last minute rail jam Oh well, snow is snow :chea:
  24. PA pow what I consider PA pow is getting first chair at blue after a night of flurries
  25. I wonder how the park's gonna be without parkbuilder running it. For a "local mountain", Shawnee really steps up their game though.
