  1. current view from the lodge at Aspen Mountain. Think I’m gonna call it a day unless the sun comes back out. Can’t see a thing. Got about 8 good runs in. No action shots unfortunately
  2. It was warm. If I brought a tank top I would have been rocking it.
  3. The tour we had decided on did not look good from an avalanche perspective on the topo map. Lots of slides lately so we wanted to keep it mellow. Found a spot near the Reudi Reservoir 30 miles outside Basalt. Did not see another person today so that was nice. Did 2 miles up and 1300’ then turned around.
  4. @GrilledSteezeSandwich ski down was uneventful. My touring skis are fatter than my other ones. Always feels weird skiing on them first few times. Legs were a bit tired. @theprogram4 haha didn’t notice that. Guess someone really had to go.
  5. Tis a glorious winter wonderland here in Marble. Decided to go skinning at Buttermilk. Buttermilk logistic are so freaking easy. The main parking lot is right at the bottom of the lift. There are 3 skin routes, I chose West Buttermilk since it’s the easiest and this was my first real uphill day. About 1200’ of vert. The parking for W Buttermilk is right in the trail! You walk out of your car and step on the snow. Stopped at the top at the Cliff House for a little water break. Overcast skies but warm temps. 2 storms rolling in this week. Woohoo!
  6. That’s why I am not a fan. The $600 thing is bullshit too. When my friends pay me back thru Venmo for trips, am I going to have to justify it? Just annoying.
  7. I really hate that we seem to be going towards a cashless society.
  8. Didn’t see them, pretty cool though.

Love seeing those pics! Like deja vu! That train board, Kalpetran, stop on request. I can still hear that in my head. Zermatt is a beautiful town, enjoy.
  10. My instructor was great! One of my issues is that I tend to squat down too much when I get nervous. One run she went behind me the whole time and every time she saw me doing thst she screamed “stand the fuck up.” It helped. 😂.
  11. Thanks! Looking forward to going back and exploring some more terrain. Our class mostly did the terrain off the Ajax express lift. We concentrated on 5 or 6 bump runs and did them over and over. It was nice to know what to expect and the bumps did change day to day.
  12. The plan was to go to Winter Park with a bunch of girlfriends. It ended up being just me. got on the gondola shortly after 8:30 and people definitely slept in. Did 2 hours of non committal bumps on the sides of the runs. Light pretty flat, very windy at the top. Then I scoped out a forest road for winter camping near the resort. They will let you camp in G-Lot, but you have to keep it super low key. No fires, no cooking outside etc. We keep talking about doing an overnight. The place I checked out looked pretty good. Have to see if I can get the final word if it’s legal. nice big spot at the end of the plowed road.
  13. Really warm 33ish.
  14. The Marble air strip.
  15. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmfY48ghonm/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= chair fell off the lift at Breckenridge yesterday 80 mph winds
  16. Got about 10” temp is -15 with a high of 0 forecasted. Trying to get motivated to walk my dog.
  17. Weather is nuts here. Went from 43 to 11 while I was in getting a haircut. Absolutely dumping snow right now.
  18. Oh yeah, we saw the Gorsuch at the base. Saw my share of Aspen things this week for sure. But I really did enjoy the mountain. I would have been intimidated to come on my own.
  19. We brought lots of food to cook dinners and make lunches. Today was a turkey, cheese and avocado wrap. I did break down and buy a pack of M & M’s for dessert.
  20. Another cold one. -4 when we left our condo, 9 degrees at lunch. But the sun was out today! Gondola not working this morning, had to take 3 lifts to get to the top , that was chilly could actually see views from the top today Don’t think she skied, just sat around the lodge wanting to look cute Glad I made the last minute call to bring the compression recovery legs. Currently sitting by the fire with a hot cup of tea getting a leg massage, feels good edit-didn’t realize you had to make a reservation for Aspen. When we went in for lunch I had 8 emails from Ikon stating I had reservation violations. Lol
  21. Great day at Assspen! The temps didn’t get above 10 degrees. We had a bit of sun for one run then most of the day was a snowy white out. Conditions are amazing. Lots of slow drills which I didn’t mind since I couldn’t see anything. not a lot of pics as it was so cold. Rinse and repeat tomorrow.
  22. Earliest age for me was 9, Split rock ‘hill’. My friend and I kept falling off the T-bar so my dad dragged us up (maybe 1/2 way) one at a time holding on to his pole. At the end of the day he skied down top to bottom on one ski, and I thought he was the coolest dad in the world.
  23. Few pics from Winter Park yesterday. stayed on the WP side since my friend wanted to demo some snowboards at the beacon bash tents. Parking was a nightmare, had to park in town and take the shuttle. Snow was great, all the crowds at the base, short lift lines, bluebird sunny skies. Traffic going home was pretty bad. Took me 3 hours when it should have taken 1 hr 45 min. Was able to get some practice in on some non committal bumps on the sides of the trail. Day not complete without spotting a microwave
  24. This would actually be awesome. If you guys (of PASR) spoofed some awkward 80’s family portraits like the following ok maybe not the naked one……
  25. Yes bumps for boomers. Don’t think I am going to progress to the zipper line. Would be happy to do the green line efficiently.
